I've heard that the shopping can be excellent in Hawaii, real bargains to be found on upscale brands, but I don't know first-hand. I haven't been there in years. The two times we went we didn't shop... just did a lot of snorkeling!

That's what I've heard haha.

I'm going hiking, but plan to do a lot of museums as well. Not sure if I'll snorkel. I'm not very good at swimming.

I had chosen Hawaii because my family insists it's a must do. So off I go. I'll visit my family that's there too. And shop. I always shop on vacations.

Hoping to squeeze in a short international trip later in the year as well.

So funny about make-up classes. And that's the good ones. At least the classes are with artists. Sometimes I get into talked in to the makeover chair and I'm shocked at the result, can't wait to get into the bathroom and wash it all off.
I have occasionally felt like a clown and washed it right off. When I was shopping on Saturday they had about thirty different makeup plus skin care artists doing Free makeup at Nordstrom. Some people looked fabulous and others looked like they should go on stage.

The Cambridge looks good in silver. What a cool middle name, much more pizzazz than mine, Marie! [emoji16]
I like classic names like Marie. I have a simple first name that I love. Yet people manage to misspell it because they try to make it fancy. LOL!

I also like interesting names like Silver. I would love to have Sparkle as my middle name. LOL! I would keep it demure with a simple initial S for professional purposes.

However, my actual middle name is neither classic nor interesting. It's a no longer used name for a man that harkens back to the ethnic heritage on my dad'a side. No one can spell or pronounce it. I appreciate that I was given it to honor my grandad but it's a pain to use in real life

I have the same experience. Makeovers never work. I always end up washing them off.

Thank you and Sparkle would be really cool for a middle name! I like when a family name gets used, I'm a little sentimental that way. I'm Catholic and when we're confirmed we pick a name, so I picked my favorite great aunts name, so I guess I kind of have two middle names. Makeup....I need to throw 90% of what I have out. I have eyeshadow for all of us and yet can't even get two colors on an eye to look right. Minimal makeup here.

A few more metallics, all current. Most are silver but somewhere I have a very beautiful Sergio Rossi blue-purple clutch, I bought it for the colour alone. I also notice my silver bags are pretty much all mirror and quite space-age, I guess there's no half measures for me.

Amazing Tanner Krolle shoulder bag by Quentin Mackay. Love the latch. All black suede inside.

The only pic I can find to hand of my rather shy Balenciaga Bowling Holiday 2009 (back row, right). Top-handle only. I think it's rather intimidated by all the H on the table LOL, that's why it's hiding. It's mirror leather, and a fantastic bag in the rain. Love this all year round but especially in the Summer. BTW, the others are friend's bags and not mine.

Gucci Silver Romy clutch (front, right). Not too small, and I have a 'matching' belt (same studs but pure gold). Gucci does silver and gold very well. I have several pairs of Gucci metallic shoes and boots.

Sterling silver and 18k gold Gucci minaudière (this one doesn't come out to play very often for obvious reasons). The clasp is tigers eye.

Gucci Valentine's Leather Heart Boston. DH bought me this (a miracle) I didn't like this bag really very much till this year. Now, I find it fits right in without me having to buy any new OTT Gucci bags and I bought some Gucci shoes that look pretty amazing with it too but the rest of the outfit has to virtually rags to work. Another chuck around bag.

Good ol' Cambridge satchels. It took me ages to choose a colour, very happy with this one.

Wow, just wow, papertiger!! Your Gucci's are stunners. I am lifting my jaw from the floor after seeing your Gucci minaudière!

What's everyone using today? I am using my Bally ombré tote.
Still using my refreshed, Fendi clutch. [emoji7]

Just Oahu this time around. [emoji4]
I haven't been for awhile, but I really like Oahu. I have read on other threads that LV is less expensive in Hawaii; this amazes me. I am pretty sure that this is already on your "to do" list, bake! [emoji6]
