I can't believe I was actually on-theme yesterday and totally by coincidence too as I hadn't looked first.

Silver is my middle name (actually a family name) so I count it as a neutral.

Silver Cambridge satchel. The finish is rubbing off a little on the top but these satchels look better worn-in and let's face it, it was always a bit of a beater bag even when new, I wear it when I don't care. More metallics to follow...

Pure lovely. The scarves on this thread are truly tempting me. I actually put an Hermes scarf in my online shopping cart and forced myself to remove it. LOL!
@Sparkletastic Even though I really don't know what you look like, I have a pretty good idea of your great sense of style. Picturing you driving a 1940's school bus made me chuckle a bit.

@ksuromax I also agree with you on DH's car related expenses. Mine doesn't understand my fascination with bags, but he doesn't criticize it either. He currently has 2 cars, and is looking at a 3rd. We can fit 3 cars in our garage but not 4. I assumed he was going to sell one of his others; but no, he found a place that he can store one of them at, "a car closet"! [emoji23]

I don't like spending money on routine home repairs, but I do like keeping our house updated and don't mind spending money on appliances, furniture and home decor when needed.

I get the most pleasure from buying a new handbag though! [emoji162]
Thank you for the complement. I do think I'd make an interesting sight in my rusty school bus. LOL!

And I'm like you. I love home decor and having a well decorated home is important to me. So that 's another area that doesn't seem like a waste even though I don't go crazy with it. But 3 cents spent on car maintenance feels like a complete financial drain. LOL!
I think most of us over 21 are in the same boat regarding make-up so please don't be too hard on yourself. I have too much skin care stuff too (do people just throw away 'not so great' masks and serums etc?). I also think I spend 100 x less than others but you should see my stash of premier eye-shadows and blushers and lipsticks and glosses and bronzers and and and, OMG, 2 lifetimes. I dare not look at the sell-by dates. Problem is I don't often have enough time to clean my teeth, when was I going to blend co-ordinating eye-shadows? TM/foundation, radiance powder and mascara and I'm still running for that train.
I think we've touched on this subject before. I see others wear makeup with great success. I just wonder where they get the extra time each morning?????

I also have taken classes on how to do this or that with make up. It makes such sense when I'm doing it under their supervision. Then I get home and I have as much chance of mixing and applying things correctly as I would assembling a suitcase nuke wearing mittens. Not gonna happen. So I stick to my easy, minimalist, makeup routine.

I always think bags I don't wear are more phases I'm going through. I know exactly which ones I shouldn't have bought ha ha!
I hadn't thought of it this way. But I think it's true.
For me it's a little frustrating when I realize I bought a bag (or piece of clothing) and realize it isn't the style that's changed but me. Oh well, better to keep it moving and rehome the item. :noworry:

Love the scarf!

And Silver is a much cooler name than mine. No one can prounounce my names, and it's so unique, it's easy to find me and it's annoying.

So, here're my metallic.

These are the last year lot.

I still have them. Plus these two. [emoji4]

So funny about make-up classes. And that's the good ones. At least the classes are with artists. Sometimes I get into talked in to the makeover chair and I'm shocked at the result, can't wait to get into the bathroom and wash it all off.

I really wanted to buy Mom a new bag, because shopping for bags is my favorite pastime.

But she really likes her small set of LV, plus her inexpensive Coach, Kipling, and Longchamp. I feel like she won't use anything else no matter how much she added.

So I got her a laptop.

It was not that fun to shop for at all.

I can't wait till vacation, then I can go look at the new releases for May! Charms and SLGs galore!

Are any of you getting your mother's a bag this year? Or are you expecting a bag/SLG for Mother's Day?
Very generous of you to get your Mom a new laptop! We got my Mom a new iPad for her birthday last November, because hers was pretty old, and she likes it a lot.

My mother isn't into bags; she has a fabric "everyday" bag and a small leather one for dressy occasions, and that's it. So she wouldn't appreciate a new handbag! Instead, we're taking her out to see a play this Sunday. We'll come back here for a small dinner, just the 3 of us, since restaurants are always so mobbed on Mothers Day.

When do you go away for your vacation? And have you decided where you're traveling?

I had gotten her an iPad before she got into wanting LV. Lol. She still has that and doesn't want to upgrade.
I want to take her to plays, shows, dinners, but she is so picky, that it's hard to just pick one.

And she's more price conscious of those for some reason. Even if I'm paying.

I leave at the end of the month, and yes I have decided.

I was going to surprise everyone, but whatever it's nothing crazy like going abroad internationally.

I'm going to Hawaii. [emoji4]

So if anyone has any Hawaii recommendations, please share! Like what to eat, where to shop, what to do. Lol.

I've heard that the shopping can be excellent in Hawaii, real bargains to be found on upscale brands, but I don't know first-hand. I haven't been there in years. The two times we went we didn't shop... just did a lot of snorkeling!
