I don't and that's a problem. Getting bags out for color weeks has definitely opened my mind. How dumb is it to have bags you forgot you even had. I started today and took out 8 bags that I am going to get rid of some way.

I forget too. It's mostly because they're not in rotation/season or because I haven't taken very many pics. Great that it's made you make a decision though.

THANKS for all the input here and in the other thread I started!! It's reeeeaaallly helpful. I love you ladies!!! :amuse:

My heart isn't into this bag buying project. That's the main issue.

I was planing on taking my LV LM II BB as my crossbody. It's a turnlock flap but I was just going to "deal with it" and be super careful. So I thought I needed something a little larger to carry when I want to lug more. But yea, lightweight and easy to use need to stay top of mind.

Back to the drawing board. Traveling is so much easier when you aren't walking a country mile doing touristy stuff and worrying about pickpockets. LOL!

Can i just comment on them from my own, very personal point of view, and you will see if it serves you as a second side view?
1 - too plain and very thin handles, which possibly will dig into your shoulder
2 - indeed, uninspiring, besides, from this photo it looks like thin based, which means it won't fit much....
3 - lovely shape, but can become unliftable if loaded fully, i have a similar model from BV, it's a bottomless pit....
4 - nice, but small, imho, opening will not allow you to load it with bigger items, e.g. camera, (mine all are huge, at least)
5 - nice look, not good for travels - handle will dig in
if you now open for hobos, then i vote with both thumbs up for a Balenciaga Day!
The Bal day is very light, and stays on the shoulder very easily. The outside pocket is handy for travelling too. But tbh in your place I'd forget handbag brands and get a nylon cross body bag from a travel/luggage shop for this trip. You need something designed for the purpose and that you won't have to give a second thought to :-)

Nothing works for me like splitting the load between a flat cross-body (wallet, phone and tickets) and a larger tote (everything else).

During my last trip where I knew we would be doing a lot of touristy stuff, I prepared and bought the MbMJ crossbody specifically. But when there, turned out I was more comfortable with my Longchamp Le Pliage LLH nylon and my Longchamp medium Neo tote. So they got more use.

I think even with crossbodys one has to be careful . If the strap is to thin or to hard it can be a problem too. I have a leather crossbody I adore but due to my shoulder issues I never wear it. Luckily I don't think sparkle has those issues. I am glad your longchamps worked out for you on that trip.

That crossbody bag felt heavy on the shoulder by the middle of the day. Well, I think my shoulder is not made for crossbody because even the MZW Paige gives me discomfort.

Oh no! Paige is one of the few bags that works crossbody for me. In winter when I wear a thick padded jacket I can wear most of my crossbody bags. In summer I can only wear the very lightest ones when there is nothing to protect my shoulders. That is why I tend to wear totes in summer.

I live in summer all year round climate. I feel that a slimmer xbody strap works better for me. I'm really enjoying mzw mini Chelsea. Going to try mzw Abbey xbody too. Had a few Paige but always didn't work out for me.

I have bags that are not in rotation/season also, decided at least these 8 don't have to be in either. I know I won't miss these, well possibly 1....but they're all going to go live with somebody who loves them.

My dd came to visit and wanted to borrow a bag. I had my Gucci tote loaded and ready to go. She asked if she could use it but I said no pick something else. She said none of those weird bags with the pleats, no chains and no super soft leather that she would be afraid of scratching. She looked at quite a few of my bags and said don't you have any normal bags. She finally settled on a pebbled leather coach. Wow never realized I had such a eccelectic collection of bags. Dd can be tough.

Hmmm, I think your bags are normal! :flowers: My sister there is 10 years younger than me and she sometimes says "not my type" on bags I have delivered there. Probably a good thing so that she doesn't test run them.

Haha. Your collection isn't that eclectic.
Didn't she get several bags from you? Why didn't she use those? Lol
