Geeezzzz... another week is almost over, how time flies!
And i am glad to say i feel less and less interested in "what's new listed/posted" on my fave sites, i just know which particular BV bag i want to get next, for my bd in october. Kinda bag content
huge credit belongs to my scarves, they really helped me to switch the focus, and playing with new scarves (various colours and sizes) makes me shop my closet more, trying on new combos with my old bags and clothes
No new bags in for more than 6 weeks!! Wooohooo!!!
I am glad you are so happy. Do you feel you are replacing one with the other ? I only ask because for a while I switched over to jewelry for a bit as a diversion and I didn't save very much. Now I still buy bags but I keep a close eye on the bottom line and my space requirements.

Same here, having landed the bag I've been looking for a very, very long time I'm doing other things and I'm not window shopping bags. Helps also that the weathers been lovely this week - it's much too nice to be indoors :girlsigh:

Ugh! Dh doesn't want to go today with two inches of rain expected.
Maybe you can call and have a bag held for you and trek to the store this weekend?

It's raining here AGAIN today. And it's cold despite it being May. It will stay his way for the week. I hate it. I'm just trying to figure out exactly in which circle in Dante's Hell this city resides. :annoyed: 2018 will not seen me living here. Push come to shove, I will strap my bags to my back and just start walking south. LOL!

. Great job! Keep playing with your clothes, bags and accessories in your closet! :amuse:

Preparing for DD's graduation trip - I realized I don't have a secure, neutral colored zip top handbag to carry as we do the touristy things DD wants to do since this will only be her first or second time in some of the cities.

Buying an unplanned bag is never the best option. And I'm constrained by requirements that cut out a number of bags I really love. So, I'm torn. Do I buy something super cheap so I don't "waste" money - all the while knowing I may never wear it again? Or do I spend more on a bag I like but wouldn't have bought under other circumstances.

Here are the contenders from less to more expensive. I was going for a tote but was inspired by @ksuromax 's gorgeous Paris photo and and also looked at hobos.

Give me your thoughts. My BFF, DD, and I have violently different opinions on these bags and voted for different ones. Help break the tie! LOL! And "none of the above" is a valid vote too!

1) Lipault Nylon Tote (@vink - thanks for the lead on this! It's practical & fits all my criteria but I don't like Longchamps and this kinda looks like one)
IMG_3141.JPG 2) Leathario Leather tote (uninspiring, yawn)

3) Vincenzo Hobo (this is pretty big @17" wide)

4) Marc Jacobs Hobo (inspired by @Mimmy)

5) Dior Hobo (the only preloved option)IMG_3128.jpg

Either 3 or 4 for me because of looks, but personally I have difficulty getting stuff in or out of hobos depending on the strap drop. I find it very inconvenient to have to get the bag off my shoulder just so I can access the opening.

I diverted to shoes for a bit, but I'm back now to bags lol.
Just waiting for my trip, then my birthday. The only two "allowed" times to buy for the rest of the year. [emoji28]

I'm with you on trying to keep within space requirements now.

My space and my second place have overflowed to a third place. A plan has to be thought of.

All of them except the top one look to heavy to do the tourist thing. But I would say none of the above.

+1 - @Sparkletastic I think I agree with dc on this one. They all look quite heavy for travels except for the first one, but if this is for travel, maybe you might want something with several different holding options such as a detachable strap as well, in case you need both hands. I wouldn't go for a hobo - as someone mentioned already, it's difficult to get in and out of and I don't know, when I travel I am almost always holding my phone/camera and trying to get in and out of a hobo sounds like disaster. Depending on the size, Dooney & Bourke has nylon bag that are satchels, (around the size of a speedy 30) but has a wide base so you can fit a lot, light weight, and has a detachable strap. I love mine and use it all the time as my carefree/travel/almost everything bag and since I got it in a neutral navy, it actually doubles as a very passable nice, non-discreet bag if I happen to have to go to an unplanned nice dinner or something, minimizing what I have to pack.
