Shopping my closet today. (Cuz I totally passed up an MCM tote and AW bucket bag at the rack when I went to look for bday gifts)

I bought this charm years ago and never wore it because it would be hard to find a bag to put it on.

Bought inexpensive clips to attach on the charm and now it's easy to put on a bag.

Charm is Vivienne Westwood on my LV DA speedy 25 [emoji4]

What's everyone carrying for this weekend?
A really cute charm... looks great on your bag!

Shall I kick of grey week? I have one grey bag, and one that is taupe, but it looks fairly gray to my eye!
My grey bag is a Balenciaga Town, with rose gold hardware. Sorry for the humungous photo! :amazed:

My taupe bag is a Mulberry small Bayswater double-zip with silver hardware. Shown here with a leather "apple" charm.

Love the apple charm! And that grey on the Balenciaga is very pretty!

This topic is so relevant to me right now as I am relooking at my collection with an international move in mind.

Here in Canada. I walk most of the time in an urban, but spaced out city. Crossbody bags are my go to, layered over jackets and coats. My second love is for hand held bags, which is also great for my lifestyle. I haven't really got a preference for open top or zipper bags.

Moving to Singapore, I foresee that this will change. I will be taking crowded transportation to get around so open top bags are a no, and handheld bags are impractical. Also with thin clothing I'm not sure if I will like crossbody bags as much anymore as it may be too body emphasizing. So I may be shifting to carrying totes or convertible hobos a lot more.

My tastes have also reverted back to simple designs. I am actually happiest in my Fossils. Now that I know this, I think I am not really tempted by the high end brands anymore.

I am excited about our move to Singapore, but can I say how sad I feel about getting rid of my winter coats and boots? I purged the wool coats without too much regret but am staring at my four puffers, wondering how I can possibly choose from them when it took ages to find puffers that look flattering and keep warm. And then, how to say farewell to my leather riding boots? I can't! Thank goodness I am not a shoe person with twenty pairs of boots. And then my cashmere sweaters... I don't know what to do with my cashmere... I don't want to part with them but I'm not sure how to store them otherwise.

I can't help but confront my collecting self with questions. Why did I have to accumulate things when parting with them brings sorrow? What happens when you love and are attached to things but have to give them up? Is there a reverse Konmari method I can use to get through this?

welcome to Singapore! it's fine to take an open top bag onto public transport though - we are an extremely safe country. i have misplaced my laptop once and phones twice on public transport and on all three occasions had my items returned to me  i use my handheld bags even during peak hours too so don't worry about what type of bag to wear because anything goes!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! This is pretty, I've never seen this bag before!

I love grey but own only one. Coach Rogue.

Love the contrasting handles with the pebbled grey!

Not a gray bag but just saying Happy Easter! Making a better effort to post my bags since I've been slacking. View attachment 3669767

I found a perfect black leather workbag. Only issue is that there's two version available in a) full corrected grain b) semi-nubuck + corrected grain. Please help me decide. :p

My points:
15_numub.png

a) full corrected grain
+ low maintenance
+ should last 5 years+
- boring

b) nubuck flap + corrected grain
+ never had a nubuck bag but I've nubuck shoes and a thick suede bag which are pretty low maintenance
+ nubuck looks and feels luxurious
- nubuck loves lint (especially in black and I'm not fond of giving others a messy impression at work)
- lasts probably max. 3 years because nubuck part will be rubbing against my body -> wears off pretty quickly -> can't use a semi-worn out bag at work
-/+ I don't encounter rainy days often but snowy winter weather would be an issue

Price is same for both versions.

My heart says go for b) but my brains order me to buy a). :confused1:
I can't have both versions. I still need to downsize my wardrobe.
The image didn't load for me earlier. Now I see the bags. I prefer A, to me it's not boring at all! There are so many cons for B, and A is pretty nevertheless, so I'd go for A.
