Awesome collection of blacks. I'm normally not a fan of multiple black bags in my collection, but each one in your is perfect.

The price increases are ridiculous. I'm aiming to buy a DE Speedy B25 and a Toiletry Pouch 15 and i'm done with LV. I'm happy with the items i have in my collection and don't plan to add any more after these purchases
I am planning to add another toiletry pouch the 26. I have the 19 and i use it every single day. Are you planning on using the 15 as small makeup bag

Yes I plan to use it as smaller makeup bag in my smaller bags. If you look at the pics I posted of my SLG's and wallets, I use the black Harrods makeup bag for everyday use in larger bags.

I have an LV DE mini pouchette I thought I could get away with using in smaller bags but it didn't work. I've seen a lot of reviews on the toiletry 15 on YouTube so I'm hoping it would work out for me.

I've seen a lot of reviews on the 26 as well and it's so versatile. I see a lot of people recommending it as a clutch as well; it fits a tonne! I have no doubt you'll enjoy it [emoji173]️

I made a decision a year ago to only go for classic bags and stay clear of seasonal pieces; that way i would have a collection i could enjoy forever and possibly pass down to my daughter. I did a major bag overhaul and streamlined my collection.
My goals for this year is to add 3 key pieces i've been eyeing (Hermes Evelyn III GM, Lambskin Medium Lady Dior in black GHW and Speedy b25 in DE) and then later on, add key colors to my clutch collection (silver, fuchsia pink, navy blue).
I'm going to pace myself; get the 3 key pieces first, go on ban island for at least 6 months, then get the clutches. Hope i can achieve my goals!
I love clutches and always am working on mine. I have few colors that I need to add. Still haven't narrowed it down yet

Pls post pics as you expand your clutch collection, I think clutches are so versatile. I find that I'm content with my larger bag collection (apart from a few pieces I need to add) and want to concentrate on more colors of clutches like you

I have the 26 but only wear it as a clutch. It has never been used for makeup. I love it though and had it heat stamped knowing it would never leave me.

I found a perfect black leather workbag. Only issue is that there's two version available in a) full corrected grain b) semi-nubuck + corrected grain. Please help me decide. :p

My points:
15_numub.png

a) full corrected grain
+ low maintenance
+ should last 5 years+
- boring

b) nubuck flap + corrected grain
+ never had a nubuck bag but I've nubuck shoes and a thick suede bag which are pretty low maintenance
+ nubuck looks and feels luxurious
- nubuck loves lint (especially in black and I'm not fond of giving others a messy impression at work)
- lasts probably max. 3 years because nubuck part will be rubbing against my body -> wears off pretty quickly -> can't use a semi-worn out bag at work
-/+ I don't encounter rainy days often but snowy winter weather would be an issue

Price is same for both versions.

My heart says go for b) but my brains order me to buy a). :confused1:
I can't have both versions. I still need to downsize my wardrobe.

That's a super tough call. The nubuck looks gorgeous, is it just on the front of the flap? Maybe it will wear less because of that? I'd be more weary of the lint and snow, and for that, I'd go what the brain tells me and go for option A.

@QuelleFromage an amazing collection of black bags

Looking forward to seeing everyone's gray bags - it's a color I've been looking for but seriously struggle to find the perfect bag, material and shade of gray. Still hasn't happened for me yet.

I think the design is interesting enough that it's not boring in grain leather. Lint makes me nuts so I could not deal with the nubuck. But then as you can see I like a straight-up black leather bag that will last forever :)

Thanks for your input. Your collection is stunning, especially the Knot clutch and a quite money saver with high return on investment rate - easy to pair with most outfits. Mine is collecting dust which is why I am on the mission to downsize my wardrobe.

The flap part continues to the reserve side so the back area would be covered with nubuck by 30 % which makes this a super tough call.

I'm glad you guys are really challenging my thoughts and not just advice me blindly to follow my . I need to be put in chain. You know that now I have million reasons why b) and me would be a perfect match (which is bad).

Thanks so much, that makes me feel better. When I joined this thread I realized I had more bags than I thought! But that is the intention - to have long-lasting, versatile items with a low (haha) cost per wear. Even a seasonal piece like the Gucci I will carry a long time.

Here are my black bags. I have an outstanding special order and then I am DONE. Feels so good. I LOVE and use every one of these bags.

From left to right: Bottega Veneta satin Knot clutch; Hermès Garden Party 36; Chanel Reissue 226; Hermès Togo Birkin 35 (arrived today, a trade, you know who you are !!); Chanel "Batman"/"So Black" Boy WOC; Hermès Evelyne PM; Gucci Merveilles wristlet.
