A few more (vintage) black.

I still have all these even though I have sold quite a few vintage bags in the past 3 years, including exotics. These are some of my favourites, and quality right up there, even among the Guccis and the Hermes.

(To the rear) 1950s Bellstone lizard with pale pink interior; (front left) 1950s top-handle baby croc with matching purse and mirror and (front right); Mappin and Webb Turtle convertible clutch from the early 1970s.

Oh wow, more lovelies  Papertiger, you should exhibit them all sometime, there'd be a long line of tpfers queuing up to view your collection!!

I think they match very well. [emoji6] Plus, I like your scarf! [emoji16]

Oh boy

you look fabulous, I love your scarf

Totally and effortlessly smart
Thanks ladies!! And when I wear a scarf, I never fail to get the "you look like a flight attendant" comment. I think that is meant in a nice way. Scarves are not really part of usual fashion in our tropical country.

Wonderful! Perhaps I can get over my fear of exotics by starting with lizard since it doesn't have the scale lifting issue of snakeskin.
:hugs:

Loving everyone's blck week bags, prize-winners. We must subconsciously think of black as a real investment.
I think we do. I also think a bit of it is we're steered in this direction by designers. Whereas it may be hard to find a bag in colors like apple green, rose or cinnamon, designers seem to always make a great version of their bags in black.

That's sad. [emoji29] I expect that simple information to be ingrained in the staff during the basic training session. [emoji17]
i felt really odd... i didn't want to seem mean, but she was so sure saying that Papier was made of lambskin.... i had to correct her...
i tried to be as gentle, as possible, and when i realised that she was absolutely blank and she did want to know more, i finally ended up teaching her how to pronounce those french words and she was absolutely happy ...
