I plan to buy one black bag this year - a carefree bag to replace the MK Leigh. I also planned buy a real python clutch to replace the pleather one but I forget I have this bag til we do these photos. :amuse:

BUT!! What I miss is not a handbag. It's my sofa from the 2016 pictures! Do you like my avant-garde Chanel box + towel handbag display? All my stuff is still in storage because I haven't bought a house in my new <spew, spew, hate, hate> city yet. And, thank goodness I didn't because I can't take the cold. And it's boring. And there's no shopping. And I don't care for the local culture. And...:yucky:

So, I'm planning to move at the end of the year to a much warmer climate and a city I know I love. Then I'll have warm weather, culture, shopping and my beloved furniture back!!!! LOL! But hey, nothing ventured nothing gained. I'm always willing to try something new.
I really love all your changes regarding the bags. They are so very pretty. Regarding your location changes ,I hope you can move soon.

I have two black bags, and both are small. I prefer to carry other colored bags, but when I must carry a black one, I have two choices.

1. Bottega Veneta shoulder bag in Tourmaline
(Sometimes a BV bag doesn't even have a name! It puzzles me that BV doesn't give every bag a proper name, as if they couldn't be bothered. Names are so important. I feel every one of my bags must have a name.)

It is odd when a bag does not have a name. Your bags are very pretty.

Wonderful! Perhaps I can get over my fear of exotics by starting with lizard since it doesn't have the scale lifting issue of snakeskin.

I think we do. I also think a bit of it is we're steered in this direction by designers. Whereas it may be hard to find a bag in colors like apple green, rose or cinnamon, designers seem to always make a great version of their bags in black.

Very true

Not yet my black collection, but a current favorite - Epi Alma with my Longchamp Neo strap.

Good idea to use the LC strap!
You just use it as a shoulder strap right, not crossbody?

Wish the LC straps were adjustable. Sometimes I actually need them to be longer.

Thanks ladies!! And when I wear a scarf, I never fail to get the "you look like a flight attendant" comment. I think that is meant in a nice way. Scarves are not really part of usual fashion in our tropical country.

Lol, I get that comment too. So I try to wear it more casual? But either way, your scarf and outfit are cute. Flight attendants are cute too, so I see it as a compliment!

It's so cute and I love that it has a wider strap so your shoulder won't hurt.

It's also soft so it didn't hurt all day while walking around! I even had a small water bottle in it.

Thanks! And my plans are to move by the fall. :amuse: Can't wait!

I love all the black bags! I will photo later.
Nursing and posting right now.
Spark I am green with envy because you get to move if you like. I am currently serving a twenty year sentence of my expat status, due to the misstep of dropping babies abroad and divorcing their dad, and my ex is not about to let me take his sons with me if I moved. I have six years left, 14 under my belt and the idea of having some choice in the city I live in, the continent, the country, the hemisphere.....well I think I would be weepy drunk with the power of that feeling after all these years. I'm definitely anchored and it kind of feels like prison, even as I sit in my dream house on a lake in a beautiful residential neighborhood with a kind and loving husband who looks like Hugh Jackman that I am crazy about , and I can continue to rattle off all my blessings until I'm blue in the face but it just doesn't erase that I miss my family and friends and home country and am not wild about the country I'm in and especially hate this city. My ex's home town. Shudder. Spew Spew hiss hate.

Sorry to derail the conversation!

Oh... I'm sorry you are stuck in the situation. I hope time flies for you and that when it's time you're free, you can figure out what you want to do or be in life easily. [emoji17]

Thanks! It's gone on a mini museum adventures so far!

Thank you! Hope the weather gets better for you soon!

Definitely need to research this bag too. It's gotten very popular in the short time it's been out so it must be a hit, just like the boy bags!

I bought two caviar boy bags when they first came out about three years ago but the cumbersome flap and the fact that the strap wasn't long enough for me to wear crossbody (I'm 5'7") made it the wrong bag for me even though I loved the look of it. The Gabrielle solves those problems for me because a zipper is my favorite closure and the strap is plenty long for crossbody. I also love the slouchiness of a hobo but I hate the puddle effect that happens when you set it down. The structured base takes care of that. Last but not least, the mixed metals are perfect because I have the option to wear whatever jewelry I want and it adds a little bit of edge, too. I am looking forward to sunny days ahead!

Both bags are beautiful but that BV is to die for! Is that lizard, python and a touch of woven leather I see?!:heart:
