I like this Pont Neuf over the new one!
I hope they bring back this color for epi!

Thank you [emoji4] I rearly use it, probably like 3 times in total since i got it in 2010. Still looking brand new. Quality of LV bags have dropped over the years; all the newer styles always have one issue or the other, so sad

It is sad. But that just allows me to be more picky as time goes on.

I haven't had a huge purchase at LV yet this year. Patiently waiting for the right thing now.

These are some very pretty and fun bags!
I cook  or sort out my accessories
or do something in the house... just need to keep rotating my bags to have the feeling of a new/different bag
I completely agree on rotation. I forget how much I love various bags. So when I pull them back out, I'm giddy again.

That happened to me today. I had posted a comment on a thread where someone is considering a Prada bag which caused me to "remember" my red double zip. I wore it today and fell back in love. It's so fun when that happens!!! IMG_2642.JPG

Welcome to the thread and gorgeous bags. Love your Pont-Neuf! I was deciding between the Pont-Neuf PM and Prune Epi Electric Brea MM in 2011. I ultimately chose the Brea. Your bag is lovely!

Welcome to the thread Kemi!
I particularly like the Pont Neuf!! It is an elegant bag. During my recent trip to Japan, I found a black preloved one which I seriously considered. It was in very good condition and it was priced more or less the same as the Epi Alma I got. The deal breaker was the weight. Not heavy heavy, but relatively heavy compared to the Epi Speedy 30 and the Epi Alma. I knew the weight would bother me in time, so I had to put it back.

The crazy thing for me is I'm very bag content too! I love what I have and don't have the big gaps in my collection I had in past years. In fact, other than a cheaper black beater / carefree bag, there isn't any bag that I want or need. And that's unheard of. LOL!

I just love handbags. :hbeat: And...I tend to peek to see what's out there. And...there is always a sale somewhere. LOL!

The solution is simple. I just need to do something more productive than bag surfing when I have wait time. It's too easy to whip out my phone and away I go....
Upon getting the two pre-loved bags from Japan recently, I thought I would be bag content. But I found myself browsing a lot more, though not buying anything yet. During our blue bags week, I realized I don't have a structured blue satchel. Blue is a favorite color and structured satchel is a favorite style, so how come I don't have one bag under these 2 categories!! And then I am kicking myself a little for not availing of the Massaccesi sale recently (I was proud then that I didn't get anything!) since there is one bag there which fits my requirement plus the fact that I can send the bag to my sister in the US since my brother from here will be visiting her in June. (Again, because of high customs duties here.) We'll see how this pans out...

This Prada of yours is lovely!! Though I'm not a saffiano girl, but this Prada sure catches my eye!!

Thanks for the compliment on the Prada. In the small size, it's the perfect casual day / casual date night red bag.

I absolutely understand why you are looking after getting 2 great bags. Despite our best intentions on this thread, I think we too easily get in the midset of "I can predict long term where my collection needs to go. So when I get x, I'll only need y."

But getting a great new bag is often a game changer. Many times we find that the new bag's style, leather, color, quality level, etc. works so much better than some other bags we have causing us to want to replace them right away (or if it's not a replacement, it's an add). And since we looooove what the new bag is doing for us, we get hungry to make the other changes right now. :panic:

I think that should be expected and is perfectly ok. How I dealt with it is I literally wrote down my ideal handbag collection and modified as I learned more. (Remember when I made my list last year after I was flummoxed about what to buy next after getting my red Chanel?) It served as a guidepost and eventually morphed into my extremely helpful "to buy" list.

I also learned I need to pause hard after major buys to let the dust settle so I make a good next move. (Remember the purely awful choices I made just last year's Black Friday?)

You are still heavy into curating your collection. So it makes perfect sense to me that getting some great items in helps you is gaps and makes you "hungry" to feel as excited about all your collection. Just pause and enjoy the ride! :flowers:

Thank you msd_bags. You're right about the weight. Although not super heavy like you mentioned, the couple of times i used it i always carried just my basic items. Being top handled i was always conscious of not overfilling so as not to put a strain on hands

I super get the bold-ed statement! But I keep telling myself that there is no rush!! Like for instance, the Massaccesi bag will be available a long time (although the no custom duties and taxes opportunity will not always be there). Pausing hard, while I know is the right thing, is a struggle everyday. :annoyed::smile:
