Thank you papertiger! I decided years ago that I wasn't going to be scared of suedebecause I love it too much. Except shoes. I live with 4 seasons and shoes are tough, unless it's going to work, then you can change into them when you get there. [emoji5]

I'm with you, I love and have plenty of suede bags myself, it's just they tend to be darker colours. I even have a couple of Loewe suede coats (one in mushroom and another darker brown). I totally applaud your fearlessness, that pretty pink is TDF.

I've actually let some amazing bags go because I'd rather they were trashed by someone else. A very cool vintage '70s, pristine,light-beige, antelope-suede bag with enormous and wonderful silver hardware (I could only dream of finding again). I just couldn't do the destroying. A friend wanted to borrow it for a video and I said that either she had to have it or not touch it, she ended up taking it. Some colours in suede (or leather) grub-up and still look OK, others like the biscuit '70s bag, palest leaf-green Prada convertible backpack (given to another friend) or the pale aqua blue 'lace' holdall my parents bought me from an Italian holiday just don't age well. I know how to clean most suede, but some shades just don't work for me.

On wallets

I'm a serial wallet monogamist and a bit of a flirt when it comes to wallets. I use one main wallet for a long time, but I also build a stash ready and waiting for when that one's 'died'.

I also have a small range of quirky alternatives that I use if need be for smaller/mini bags (mini wallet/card holder) travel (flatter and wider/longer to use as a clutch too) special occasion (python/croc/etc - not because I really need the change but because I feel the need to use what I have already).

I don't think it's quite as bad to have a few wallets because wallets wear out quicker than bags. There is a need to buy when spotted because they are much (even) more personal to use than bags. Pick the wrong wallet under pressure and :-s.

The bags/colors you talk of sound lovely. I envy you with the suede jackets, there's one I'm leery of. I live around so much rain, snow, sleet, hail, dirt roads......Lol......I will absolutely take the time to caress, smell and love on pretty much anything suede. I don't mean to sound strange, but mushroom suede even sounds decadent! I love it and haven't seen it!

I don't like changing out wallets, it seems like work when really there isn't that much to switch out. I have various colors and styles, lately they've been getting smaller, which is great. For some reason I'm into pink right now and I've been using a pale pink Longchamp wallet. It is a size and set up that is just right. I'm staying with Miss Pink for a while.

I've downsized on wallet as well. Less space, less junk in it. And I don't switch out for years or until I feel like moving to the next. The thing though, I don't know how to "dispose" of past wallets. I'm a bit hesitant to give them away because of wear. So my past wallets are still with me. Maybe I should donate them but I don't know where to. I just have one travel/foreign currency wallet. I normally leave my regular wallet at the hotel and just bring my travel wallet with me.

Once I find a home for the radley, I'd have two wallet on chains, one travel wallet , and the ZCP. I also have another ZCP on the way.

But with the 4-5 I'll have, I can't decide if I want to let go of any of those.
Your count sounds very good. Enough to change it up if your bored but not too many. I have 17 without counting card cases. They are not all high end but a bit of everything. I want to get to about ten. I would also like to add a wallet on a chain as part of that ten.

Oh, that so doesn't count my card cases. I love card cases, then again, what SLG don't I love?

I have 5 card cases. The cles could double as a card case, of which I have 6. Most are high end but I love picking up quirky inexpensive ones too.

But I use certain card cases for certain bags, or certain ones for travel (my Oyster card lives in one), one holds the ccs I rarely use, another holds a stash of cash I refuse to use lol. So there isn't much guilt there, because they do get used.

I have an SLG problem haha. But it's not as bad as buying a bag every time? [emoji85]

I meant to wear the wallet my brother bought me in front of him when he was visiting me last week, but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to switch. It is very pretty but to big for my needs. It's the gifted ones that are hard to get rid of because you don't want to hurt feelings.

Hm. Gotta plan carrying a big bag to switch to that wallet? Or can it fit in most bags, just taking up a lot of space?

I'd donate them if they're usable to a charity shop or something. If they're branded, you'd be surprised that people will buy used wallets, even if really worn. They can also be used as refurbish projects, or that some people still see the item has a lot of life left so they'd carry it anyway.

Pics! I love LC pinks. Does it go with your Coach pink?

I donate my wallets and pouches also. I used to sell them, but I got so little $$ in return I decided it wasn't worth the aggravation. The resale shop I use is owned by the American Cancer Society, so I figure the $$ is going to a good cause!
