I just barely kept myself from buying one of three bags I was looking at. What stopped me was knowing I want to shop during my upcoming vacation, doing a little more research on the bags and - most of all - knowing I'd have to come back here with a rogue bag & my year goals in disarray.
The temptation was that I like / am intrigued by these models and they were each on super low discount. A sale is like catnip to me.
So, I'm curious. What is your biggest temptation - a sale, seeing a bag in it's perfect setting in a boutique, news of your favorite brand's latest seasonal offerings, getting a large lump sum of money in or...?
Nothing's more a of a temptation for me than quality, outside and in. Don't care about the brand name, price (so long as I can afford it) resale value, setting bought in, even the practicality... just show me exquisite materials, aesthetically pleasing shape and haute craftsmanship and my brain will start thinking how much is on my CC limit

My Gucci Secret is the prefect example. I so didn't need a bag at the time, especially a croc/polished leather/pony that can't be used in rain, delicate and scratches easily. Very hard to get into and out of. But, it was a remaking of a 1950s Gucci bag, leather lined in lamb, softest calf-hair, shiny thick, polished leather and supple croc with solid brass fittings
