 fantastic, definitely thinking along the right lines. Love the flippy red dress with it especially.

Just don't forget leaving the straps undone in this rather 'trying too hard' way, all the weight is on the turnlock which will soon need replacing. Worse still, those that leave the Kelly totally open pulling the handle out of joint. I know some people must have to have the Hermes stamp showing at all times and it's their bag, but really it makes me wince (I'd hate to buy one of these fashionably carried ones after use for a while) Sorry for the rant, totally NOT aimed at you, it's just the pics remind me.

I agree 100%. The "undone" Kelly made me cringe also. I am not precious about my bags but I feel that it is wasteful to not take the small effort needed to keep them in good condition.

I think I mentioned this before but I really like your Red Valentino clutch. I wanted the shoulder bag from this model and was just looking at them again on eBay a couple of nights ago.

Thank you, I find I get a lot of compliments on the colour when I wear this bag.

Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot coming from you. I admire the breadth and diversity of your collection. To be totally open, the bag is not truly vintage as per your previous post explanation but what's included in the name of the bag, 'Mademoiselle Vintage Flap.' I wore it last weekend!

Your Gucci Sukey is a shape I have admired for a long time.

Thank you - it is one of my most used crossbody bags, smooshy leather, great capacity and great for going to kids' activities.

@nicole0612 and @papertiger Thanks for sharing your experiences with your Garden Party bags. I have longed for one for many years, the thing that held me back is not being able to shoulder carry over winter coats. Perhaps I will buy one one day and just know it is a hand carry/elbow carry for me. I always thought I would go neutral, ie. etoupe, (putting my hand up as an etoupe lover, gold doesn't work as nicely with my colouring @nicole0612, @papertiger, @QuelleFromage - great discussion on this earlier) however papertiger's bamboo is making me reconsider.

The colour of your Sofia is striking.

Thank you for your kind words. I like they are a little different and less commonly seen.

Thank you for your kind words - I love your collection pics, too!

Thanks missie1!

Actually, the GP stays on my shoulder better when wearing a coat. The handles are very circular, so they can roll off otherwise (I have small shoulders, so that might also contribute).

I just barely kept myself from buying one of three bags I was looking at. What stopped me was knowing I want to shop during my upcoming vacation, doing a little more research on the bags and - most of all - knowing I'd have to come back here with a rogue bag & my year goals in disarray. :frown:

The temptation was that I like / am intrigued by these models and they were each on super low discount. A sale is like catnip to me. :cray:

So, I'm curious. What is your biggest temptation - a sale, seeing a bag in it's perfect setting in a boutique, news of your favorite brand's latest seasonal offerings, getting a large lump sum of money in or...?

Well done in avoiding the temptation!
For me the biggest temptation is: all of the above! Just kidding. I think the biggest for me is either seeing someone else looking really great while wearing something similar to what has been on my mind to buy, or hearing that something that I love is sold out and then finding it.

Hi vink, I liked this bag a lot when I bought it. Upon further analysis, it didn't fit well with my collection and my lifestyle.
The back story is I was traveling with my husband and sons to a family wedding in a city with a Dior boutique, my city doesn't have a Dior boutique. The hotel we stayed in had a Gucci boutique and a Dior boutique. I checked out Gucci and looked at everything in the Dior boutique. I liked the Diorissimo and I was interested in the old style of Miss Dior Promenade Pouch. I learned they had been discontinued and they had the new model which was more structured and had more capacity. I looked at the colours available and chose the tricolour. The lambskin was buttery soft and felt wonderful in the hand. I made a reveal thread, https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...r-miss-dior-tricolour-promenade-pouch.920286/
I've been reworking my handbag collection since 2013. Last year I really looked at my small capacity bags, a category I don't use as frequently. I'm a mom of two active, young boys. My older son has a peanut allergy so I need room to carry his Epi Pen and bottle of Benadryl. On evenings out without kids I can use a small bag. The Dior Miss Dior Promenade Pouch overlapped in size and use with my Chanel red lambskin quilted Wallet on Chain and with my Chanel black patent Coco Shine small flap. I tried using the Promenade Pouch more often to make sure I knew its pros and cons. I used my Chanels significantly more often so I kept those two and let the Dior go to a new home. It was a hard decision because I liked the bag. I chose to let it go to someone who would hopefully love it more.
The bag itself is lovely, well thought out with lots of pockets and of course the amazing lambskin leather. There is a zippered pocket, multiple card slots, interior slip pocket and exterior pocket. Lots of additional pics in the attached thread link.
@vink What colours are you looking at? It's a great small bag. Good luck and don't forget to post your pictures!

Thank you very much for your answer. I wish I have such strong determination to cull off my less-used piece just like you. I'm such a pack rat. [emoji17]

I don't have any color in mind, yet. And if I get one, I'll definitely post here. [emoji4]

Seeing the bag I like in the price I deem reasonable is the worst thing that can happen to me. [emoji28]

I see you sold or gave away the furla . May I ask what about it wasn't working for you? I like the ones you kept.
On the Furla, primarily what didn't work was the strap drop. I think it was just 7" or 7.5". Plus the leather is so so soft even on the top edge that that top portion curls in storage, even if stuffed. A co-worker who is less than 5 ft tall bought it from me, so I think she will have no problem with the strap drop.

Massaccesi has come out with a fuchsia merinos leather, but maybe not now as I am on a pause and there are still other gaps I've identified in my collection.

When I was to go to Japan in March, as early as maybe last quarter last year, the knowledge that I will really search for bags there has stopped (saved?) me from getting a lot of other bags. So I think your European trip is serving as a welcome deterrent to buy now.
