Elaine your curry city is so so delightful!
I am freaking out about winter clothes. I just can't anymore!!!!!
I have put away my thickest fur lined items and super thick sweaters and really winter colored things because I cannot look at them anymore!!!!
Anyone with me? I'm just going to layer lighter, brighter things to be warm in all this snow.
Thank you, HBG!
Yes, I'm definitely in a "springtime" mood, but out here in sunny California the weather is cooperating, so I'm wearing a bright cobalt sweater over black pants and I don't think I'll need to wear a jacket over it when I go out later. In other parts of our country there's a blizzard coming, so I count myself lucky!

And my little photobomber just upped her game and bombed into the room that we thought was locked at a pinnacle moment of her parents happy reunion after daddy's week long work trip. Morning delight fright! Or at least, startle! Thank god my father in law who is staying with us a couple days was not nearby to get an eye full when the door swung open (our bedroom opens on to the living room/foyer area, which I now see as a major layout flaw).
Whoopsie!

I have some honorary 'orange' bags (basically tan) here's my Bolide

But I was wearing this combo (below) today with a blk/wht checked jacket

I'm kind of doing this now for March--I keep a list of my bag wears for the year, and I am trying to choose my daily bag from the ones I've only worn once or twice so far.

BUT I had a setback. I mentioned when I got the Vivienne that I was ready to get rid of a bag, and that was my Cambridge Satchel. I took it out of its usual place and put it right by my full-length mirror so that every morning when I was getting ready, I had the opportunity to try it on and see if it was a better match for my outfit than anything else I owned. For three weeks, it was not. I figured that was a sign to get rid of it since it was on the chopping block already.

And then it started raining here, and I didn't want to take out my more delicate bags. My epi LV would probably be fine, but I still don't want to needlessly expose them to bad weather. So I finally reached for the Cambridge Satchel, and I've managed to come up with some decent outfit pairings. I've now worn it three times this week because of our crappy weather, and I think I'm going to keep it after all even though it has fiddly clasps and will never get the amount of wears it really deserves.

I don't know if this is a success story or not. Whenever I start wearing a bag again, I always fall in love with it again rather than realizing why I don't wear it. And I would still like to get rid of a bag to allow for the Vivienne coming in.
So would you consider your Cambridge satchel to be your "carefree" bag? I've learned from this thread that it's good to have one bag in this category, even if it isn't worn often, just for bad weather days. It dosn't matter if you don't carry it much, since it exists to protect the rest of your collection.
But if the straps are fiddly, perhaps you need to re-home it and find a different carefree bag. One that isn't too expensive, that you can carry in bad weather without worrying about it getting ruined.

I am downsizing my carefree bags from 3 to 2. Neighborhood teen cleaning help will get it if she wants. I had black, beige, and brown but the beige will go.

Hmm, I actually have several carefree bags, so think I need to go through them all and figure out how and whether I really use them. We tend to have really rainy summers, so I like having options in my carefree bags just as I do with my premier bags. I can probably rotate in some of my LV epi bags (I have three) on days that's it's more drizzly than rainy.

The Cambridge Satchel is really my last colorful carefree bag, so that's why I'm suddenly inclined to keep it, but I might feel better if I pare down that category altogether.

Just popping in to post my orange and yellow offerings. I'm off to Vegas tomorrow for the Backstreet Boys' concert hehe.

I like your totes!!! Very cute! Where did you get them? And I'm so envy you gets to watch the boys! The first time they were here, the tickets all sold out. The second time I just knew too late and already had to travel. :( Seriously not meant to be. :(

Thanks! They're Lauren by Ralph Lauren, coated canvas. They're major work horses, so glad I kept both =) This will be the second time I am able to see them - first time was a few years ago in my hometown, and now in Vegas. I stalked the tickets and was lucky my mom had first access through Amex haha.

Beautiful bags! Have a great trip and enjoy the show.
Thank you! Definitely a much needed time away.

I don't own any orange or yellow bags.

That's alright. ;) We love you nonetheless. ;)
