His luggage with my fendi in it was lost so he felt bad coming home empty handed, so I think that's why the a.m. overtures (so unlike him, he is not Mr. Spontaneity). He wanted to offer me something! Ha!
I just want that mia shopper in my hands! Within 12 hours.....

This is my scarf of the day. I was browsing a second hand designer consignment boutique in San Francisco about seven years ago and I saw a dress in cream silk with beautiful embroidery and bought it. I took it home and five years after it was never worn, I cut it up and turned it into a very long scarf.IMG_1489398705.054863.jpg maybe 2 feet by 8 feet? But I love all the vivid primary colors, flowers and birds, metallic gold thread as well. It matches everything and it is totally unique.

Also totally effing wrinkled but don't all silk scarves wrinkle like crazy? How do you prevent that? Folding? I don't know if I can be that grown up.

Anyway after the necklace story and now this one, I am kind of having an epiphany that I love pretty things but most of all i love pretty things that I designed myself or at least played a big hand in designing. I think it is really important to me to be an odd ball. Even the premier designer bags I want to have are bags I have never seen anyone carry on the street before. The ones I have in my collection that do not fit into that have been shelved indefinitely years ago and I've never truly loved them. And I am obsessed with finding truly perfectly crafted bags that I get to design from the ground up, hence my etsy obsession.

Even my HG is a wacko choice, a Carlos Falchi metallic croc hobo that came out nearly a decade ago and was never even fashionable then? Who loves that? Me! I have weird tastes. & I seem to be allergic to classic bags. I'm weird. I've never understood so clearly my fashion sense before. Black Sheep should be my username, not hopeless.

I'm waiting for DD to finish her after school activity so I decided to do the "what's in my bag" to kill time. [emoji16]

In my bag, there're (from the bottom line from left to right)
my misc stuff pouch (you know what's in there yesterday),
my organizer (a hobonichi techo original size with a photo album insert, if you are into planners [emoji4]),
a PVC magazine freebie envelope contain bookbanks,
a freebie extra battery I got from my mobile provider (its light, very flat, and has built-in cable, so I retired my other two which are bulkier, heavier, and has no cable built-in),
wallet, and
a car remote control.

It's quite funny to realize I've been using freebies a lot. [emoji16] I have lots of pouches and stuff, but somehow the freebies work the best. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

And my little photobomber just upped her game and bombed into the room that we thought was locked at a pinnacle moment of her parents happy reunion after daddy's week long work trip. Morning delight fright! Or at least, startle! Thank god my father in law who is staying with us a couple days was not nearby to get an eye full when the door swung open (our bedroom opens on to the living room/foyer area, which I now see as a major layout flaw).
Ooops!!! [emoji28]

Thanks for sharing this Vink! Hard to maintain composure during such a situation.

I'm actually considering the carryall!

I was at the boutique and they put the monogram strap with the pink leather, and it looked super cute. The strap though is shoulder only, so I'd definitely ask them to pack up one to gauge the comfort. It looks better to plop on top of a rolling suitcase.

Seeing it with a shoulder strap made it more of a contender. The Keepall just looks so bulky on me.

The speedy 40 wouldn't carry as much, but I'm trying to keep my bag without wheels relatively light.

I might go to try them out again next week. I've been so indecisive with travel pieces, I've been trying one every time I visit. I'll take pics if I go.

How do you like the Ferragamo? I saw a blue and red striped one and found it cute.
Ok so I kinda fell into LV store yesterday. I definitely like the carryall. Only con is lack of strap. The keepall with strap will definitely need to be 50. The 45 was just too small. In addition they had a rolling duffle etole that I really liked. What I didn't like was the price. It was almost 3k.

Also they had a mono drawstring bag neonoe trimmed in black that was super cute. The only one they had. Apparently they sell out quickly. My sister is eyeing this bag.

Went by Chanel to check out few items. I am thinking the ocase clutch will be my next purchase. It was really nice. They didn't have in color I wanted so I didn't get it.

Thinking I can score my carryall and the o case for 3k.

Our weather bureau has not declared the official start of summer here, but it's getting hot by the day! Love your Bal!
We are expecting almost two feet of snow tomorrow. I just hope I don't lose power because that would mean no heat and I have tropical pet birds. We sure live in opposites. Too hot or too cold neither one is any fun.

Folding and steaming keeps wrinkles at bay for silk.

But for the length and design of your scarf, the wrinkles give it more texture and dimension.

You do have a unique set of things, and I like that! I wish I could be so confident to pull those off.

Lololol I kinda fall in to LV almost weekly.

The lack of strap on the carryall is a big con.
If you get the 50, what pattern?

The neonoe just launched so stock is just trickling in. It's super popular now, every LV blogger has one.

Oh my... I hope you'll be ok. We're totally on the opposite. They just announced that we're having some kind of weather pressure that will hike up the temperature so between March 14-18, the temperature may reach 40 degree Celsius. And we may also get tropical storm.

Bake what makes you think that I can pull it off? I think I probably look like a thirtysomething hobo with hodgepodge style. I have such a weird mix of no name and designer in my closet and not all that much designer (darn being short on cash unemployed and recently divorced single 20 something mom several years ago when my boys were little the way my girls are now, I sent so many classic pieces to eBay and saved such a tiny few) to be honest. I think I'm just a wannabe designer with no actual skills which is nothing to brag about!

I think your scarf is very pretty and its origin is very interesting. The wrinkle does add character to it. There're wrinkled/crinkled silk scarf sold here, you know. [emoji4]

And the heart just want what the heart wants. There's no right or wrong in wanting something you're passionate about. The price ticket should be the least in deciding whether that item deserve to be coveted or not. (DD just told me today about her discussion with a friend at school who said money is everything. And to think they're only 6-7 years old,... I wonder where the society is heading into.) If you love having things that you have a hand in making/designing, let it be. I like many weird things people laugh at. For example, at my position/stance, no one should use a freebie or even think about keeping or buying any. I think they're cute and useful and you may see I have a couple I carry around.

Just do what you like. No one will judge. And if they do, you don't have to care coz I'm sure the person who matter will understand. (In the case they don't, just don't do it in front of them. DH doesn't have to see I scooped down a whole pint of Baskin Robbins' mint chocolate chip ice cream right before bed last night. [emoji16])

Us too, and I have a big work deadline Wednesday, so I am nervous. I want that warm weather we've been having to come back.

These extremes are really difficult to deal with!

I think we peak at low 30s (Celsius) at the moment. But I think last year we neared 40. Hope that storm will not be bad.
ETA: That is why even if I want to wear the scarves I got, I will have to wait when it is cooler. Or, when I know I will not be going out of the office building.
