My SA says I can bring them in anytime so could it be a US thing?
Hmmm...ok. I had called the 800#. I'll contact my SA and see what she says. Thanks! Funny this is the only SA with whom I have a relationship so it will work out. LOL!
Spark,

Thanks you were so right the alma needed to go. The glamlock is my absolute fav in this color. I know your considering a workhorse in oxblood but what about a flap or something from LV since your now open to them?

I only wore the Henri bendel once so I need to see in trip mode to determine. It fits my travel essentials and I don't want to send for Chanel mini....actually I'm on the fence about it. Summer travels will tell all

The Tom Ford is the perfect color and so under the radar, I mean seriously no one knows what it is. It's more of congac color than actual brown. You will definitely not be wowed by your brown.

I love the color of this Coach bag. Are you looking for oxblood in patent? I feel the color saturation is better in patent on this color. The fingerprints are bummer though
I think you're right about the TF. It's the shade. It is more of a cognac. I like the honeyed cognacs more than typical brown.

I love the color and style of the Coach (minus the doohickeys which I removed after I took this photo). I just don't ever chose it over any other bag I have. That's why it's in purgatory.

For now, I'm sticking with my plan to add grey and bordeaux leather workhorses (I have black) as they'll work best with my wardrobe. I've given up on looking for them for a while. I was getting frustrated and nothing is speaking to me. Everything felt like too much of a compromise. I don't expect to drool over my work bags but I need to like them and feel the price is justified. And given that I could get "stink eye" from carrying anything from Michael Kors to Hermes if the "wrong" person recognizes it, I'm flummoxed. So I'll happily hold til I find bags I feel wil raise no eyebrows that I also like. Or, I could move  which is looking like a real option.

So I've focused on buying things on my jewelry list. Since I'm in my no spend month, I'm using the time to work with a jeweler on a custom piece I want. I can plan now and pay April 1. Yea, I know I'm dancing on the line of the rules.

Nice range of reds!! Do you consider the Vareene red? I'd consider it multi colored. Is it red and khaki?
And, I loooooove the Dora!

I love your Mulberry Lilly!!! I have been so tempted with this bag. I even thought of it for a workhorse. But I have enough flaps (yes. I'm saying this til I mean it. lol! ) and need something with more capacity and no chain strap for a workhorse. So I'm still on the hunt for my perfect bordeaux bag and / or a great workhorse.

You, however, have done a great job in picking a range of bordeaux / burgundy bags across styles and even with nuance in shades. Which are your favorites? Any on the chopping block?
I love them all, and i am glad they all are so different, every each serves its own purpose
Lily was my personal HG of Mulbs, plus it was my BD pressie, so it's a tad more special to me, but i am loving and using all of them :)
I am not a flap bag girl, i didn't make friends with my C, but Lily gives me all i need, not so obvious brand, stellar colour and great NOT STRUCTURED leather in the most classic shape :hbeat:
a couple of my non-branded ones got a lot of use before i went mad and joined tPF, but they are in great shape and i still use them sparingly :)

LOL! Yes!! All of us catch the madness from TPF! I keep trying to regain sanity but I think I'm too far gone.

At least this thread keeps me from going too cuckoo.

If you and the Chanel aren't buddies, I'm surprised you won't sell. Sometimes I just have to accept a brand or style is better on someone else's arm than mine. Like with mini's. They are so cute but it would drive me to drink to have a bag that didn't hold my things. Plus I'm 6 feet in heels. So I think they look like kiddie bags on me.

Same here
I am happy to say it's been a full month (4 weeks in a row) for me of "no new bag" purchase
i only got one silver bangle for a steal and i am hoping it's the start of recovery

I feel like we're at an AA meeting. :amuse:

Assuming I make it to 3/11, it will be 2 months for me. It was harder at first but I think I've settled for now. I have a few new bags that I've been focusing on enjoying and that has helped a lot. But what has really stopped me is I'm not using some bags I love. I tend to get in ruts of 5-6 bags and have to remind myself to mix it up. So, until I can effectively rotate everything, I'm trying not to buy more.

By the way, I am licking my wounds of disappointment and bought a bag I have had my eye on for 7 years. It is preloved in my price range and I am so glad to get it, as this bag has been in the back of my mind as the only fendi that has ever been SO my style, and I've never gotten over it. Now I don't have to.
Thought it would be interesting to tell you guys about it because I have read so much anti brown bag sentiment on here. So many of you are so over brown bags or never liked them or are just starting to tolerate them after never liking them, and blah blah blah. Whereas I LOVE earth toned and natural toned leather. Especially lighter tones, but not super light like white or ivory because that's just scary. But I like a pretty beige and tan in spring and summer.. Even year round. So here is the bag I bought today.

Reminds me of the pilot episode of Friends when Rachel is licking her wounds about not getting a job by buying new boots. She calls them her, 'I don't need a job because I have these new boots' boots, or something to that effect. I guess this bag is my shopping therapy as well. But I really don't feel any qualms or doubts about it and after seven years of it being 'one that got away' and a bag I always wanted, now it will be a forever bag in my collection. I'm sure. That feeling is rare! Plus I am getting an 80% discount from retail for being such a patient little puppy for all these years and waiting for it to be in my price range, preloved. Yay. No almost bag for me, this is the only fendi that has ever sung the true siren song to me but budget stood in the way. Now I will get her! And all my favorite beiges and tans in there, in a lovely subtle colorblock making her match very many of my shoes, boots, jackets, and coats.View attachment 3625761
gorgeous. I love a great brown bag. Congrats on finding it :)

For me jewelry is the one area that needs work. I need to work on my fine jewelry or better yet tell DH what I'm looking for and let him fund this for me. I have too many habits as it is.

don't like fussy earrings or necklaces, I prefer stud earrings because I find hoops they interfere with my hair. I do love cuffs and bangles. I have small mixed variety of Leather cuffs from H, Bal,Fendi and Eddi Borgo. I mix these with my trusty yurman bangles and my stack is complete. Here's a pic of my current collection

thanks! I love marks and Spencer's - we had one where I lived growing up and my parents loved it since they spent time in England; I was so sad to see it go. I remember all the awesome treats they had. I'll definitely look into the other brands u posted. I read all the articles and it was so helpful but would be at a loss as where to start with brands, so thanks for this!

I know I'm in the minority on brown bags but I love them! Got this one from italy today, View attachment 3625823
its beautiful! A lot of my bags are browns

Ok, then here's my BORDEAUX group
BVs, Balenciagas, Mulberrys and 1 Chanel....
Gooorgeous.

Loving all the new red bags that have been posted since - sorry wasn't able to like all of them individually (using the phone app).

I'm finding some preloved bags I like.

But for some reason they never last in my collection.

Should I try it or just stay to new?

I say stick to new because YOU say...(see quote above, words in bold and underlined).

I prefer to buy new, but I do also (rarely) buy preloved if the handbag is no longer produced. And, I won't pay more than $600 for a preloved premier designer bag because that's the most I've paid so far. If I go higher than that, then it's better to just buy new.
