On the subject of preloved premier....
I agree 600 is a good limit and the most I've paid so far. My HG was a lusted after Carlos Falchi metallic croc hobo that came out for $4k and I pined for, for about 5 years until I found NWOT on the secondary market and paid $600. 85% off retail makes me feel savvy. And it did not disappoint. This fendi I bought for 80% off retail worn less than ten times she says is a similar happy situation for me. $450, I am comfortable with that.
Ironically the massaccesi I received yesterday was the same price and of course a totally different animal but a brown bag is a brown bag.
I guess I feel that it is too much for a bag with no resale value and without a particular soul grabbing style. It's a very simple brown zip top tote with long strap and I love the leather and it is very functional but pretty and it is a great bag but I do not really feel it is a price I will feel comfortable paying again in the future. The base version of that bag is €265 and my customizations added up to total €455 and to me that is just silly, but every single customization was something I really wanted. I now know that I will not be ordering any more massaccesi bags for more than €350, because much more than that range I could find a premier bag with exciting style and resale value to boot and buy that instead. I get excited by the 'build a bag' aspect of the massaccesi shopping experience and I get out of control. And forget that for me, the bags are about €300 worth of jjoy for me, and much more than that will leave me slightly unsatisfied about the price vs the bag. So I will wait and buy models that come out in the future that I don't feel compelled to modify so much, and on sale, so I feel like I end up feeling like it was an excellent buy. I am just cheap with non known brands that can't be liquidated for very much in a pinch I guess!
