Well, since you asked . . .

The flats I bought are at the top. They also have them in a pewter color I'm strongly considering if these fit well. I need both a light and a dark gray. I don't have many neutral flats, and grays always work well for me. I like pointed toes and a slight heel with no metal hardware. This is harder to find than one might think.

And of course, the LV:

I can't tell you how happy I am about the card case. I've been looking for something like this for a long time, because most of my evening bags don't fit my regular wallet. When I travel and keep switching out between a day bag and an evening bag, I'm not great about getting everything BACK to the day bag.

This has been a real pain, so I wanted to get one tiny wallet that holds everything I might need for a weekend away. This is deep enough to hold a few cards, and it doesn't have card slots (the bane of my existence).

The bag was not on my radar, but the color has been--I have and wear a lot of olive green, so I can definitely use a bag in that shade. The clincher on buying this, though, was that I've been wanting a dressy day bag (if that makes sense). I don't have anything suitable for attending a matinee at the theater or a nice afternoon baby shower or wedding--most of my nice bags are either clearly evening bags, or they're just really big and not a good choice for keeping in the lap at an event.

I just realized that I haven't posted my red bags yet. I only have two: LV Capucines BB and MJ Mini 54. If I allowed myself to, I'd probably own a LOT more red bags, as it's the color I'm drawn to most often when I look at bags on web sites. But I try to be good about not purchasing, since these two bags really meet all my needs. Being on this thread definitely helps me control myself!

Somehow I missed these, Elaine. Both are gorgeous! [emoji173]

Great selection! I really like the shoes. It is so hard to find a good flat shoe.

I haven't thought of "dressy day bag" as a category, but it makes sense to me. Just haven't attended a baby shower or wedding for several years to think about a bag for those kinds of occasions. (Luckily, I can already think of some bags in my collection that would work. So, I can shop in my own closet!)

Well, your new LV bag certainly fits the category. The leather is beautiful, and I like the top handle.

The Vivienne is a great dressy day bag.

I wanted it for my travels to London since I find myself going between casual and dressyish things when I visit. Lol.

But as much as I love the olive green color yours is, I couldn't say yes.

Please share what you can fit inside!

Thanks for the kind words, tenkrat! I forgot to take a picture, but it has a crossbody strap as well. I love bags with multiple carry options.

I do seem to attend a lot of weddings and baby showers, but the theater has been a big one for me. We just got a seasonal membership, and I always seem to bring too big or awkward a bag, especially when it comes to holding onto it and a program while applauding at the end. Plus. I do a lot of brunches, gallery shows, etc. where it would also be nice to have a daytime bag that's elegant but not too over-the-top. So even though I broke my ban, I think I'll get a lot of use out of this.

When I tried it on, I iked the idea of it as a travel bag, but I don't think the clasp is as strong as on other LV bags with magnetic closures (such as the Cluny or Luna), and that would make me a little nervous. I do think it's a perfect daytime sightseeing bag, though, great for a museum or tour.

Honestly, not much fits inside, though that's mostly fine by me. On any given day, I usually just have my phone, wallet and keys. Those things fit just fine with room for another SLG or two, even though the picture looks snug. My keys are bulky, so they're bigger than my front section. Everything fit better when I put the keys at the back and my wallet at the front. I wound up arranging things better than this, but this was my first, not-too-impressive pass at it to give you an idea.

The wallet is a compact Vivienne, so I have a Vivienne in a Vivienne, but I got a lot more room by replacing the wallet with my new card case. I was able to comfrotably fit a slim sunglasses case when I did. I like that there's also a zip pocket for an emergency bill or a bus pass.

and you can turn scarf rings and scarves into jewellery (the ring is a fine gold and enamel from Frey Wille, I would prob never wear it as a scarf ring but you never know)

You have the most amazing closet - thanks for sharing your gorgeous pics!

Gorgeous accessories.
Finally found out after 5 weeks of interviews with 6 people that I didn't get the job. Grad school life continues!
Dear HopelessBagGirl, I am sorry to hear that things didn't work out with this job. The fact that you made it this far means you were a serious contender in the process. I admire your positive attitude.
I am also in a job hunt (my job was eliminated last year.) There are good days and not so good days. I try to concentrate on continuing to make progress (just keep moving forward), networking and staying positive. Best wishes to you friend. I hope there is an even better role for you around the corner.

And I love the Vivienne wallet too! Very pretty!

When you buy stuff from IndieGoGo or Kickstarter, sometimes, you just forget what you backed.

IMG_1488864028.179966.jpg

I just picked up a package from the post office today. It's a bag. Then, I remember I backed an anti-theft crossbody bag last year. It's supposed to have slash-proof, waterproof fabric and detachable chain strap to prevent cutting, etc. I'll unbox it later and see the final features. My old trusty Huskie is getting soft and should get more rest.

Should this be a buy for last year or this year? I normally count stuff when I get it, but this is like over a year. [emoji848]

I love the colour of your Capucines!

Your Borough is a pretty red, however your backdrop is beautiful - is that your gardening handiwork?
