Thanks so much! I honestly don’t know how the butterflies are done. The butterfly parts are slightly raised, but still part of the woven strips of leather. I’ll have to ask the next time I’m at the boutique — which will be a WHILE since I don’t need any more temptation right now!

After I wrote to you, I went to the BV site and found the bag. I studied the photos (even enlarged them) but I can't figure it out either. Let's just put it down to "BV magic"! ;)

Could it be embossed? That was my first impression, which makes it really interesting with the woven leather.

Would embossing mean the butterflies were pressed into the leather? Because they are actually raised. So I’m not sure how they did it! Maybe I’ll ask over in the BV forum — some really knowledgeable ladies over there!

I’m thinking they wove the leather and pressed the butterflies from the back so it’s raised on the front side?

The BV ladies might know! Good idea!

It was a serious guilt trip. She whined that this was the 3rd raffle she lost, how she deserved a dog after all this time.

Her dad was super chill though, he was all “think positive, you’ll get the dog that’s meant for you.” We drove past them, she was throwing a major tantrum in their car. I felt bad but I too, wanted a dog.

The next two weeks will be crazy! I need to dog proof the house for a small dog, knowing they get into the craziest places. My grandma’s chihuahua taught me that a long time ago [emoji23].
For a Labrador, it was mainly ensuring they couldn’t open doors to the pantry or fridge. They did manage to figure out how to break into the dog food storage, so they were always being clever.

I can’t wait! I’m so excited. I nearly cried again hearing her cry from being put back in the kennel! But she needs to be spayed and so many dogs got adopted this week that the wait is two weeks long! I’m going to visit her there during her wait.

Sounds like that girl is getting a much-needed lesson that life isn’t always fair and you don’t always get what you want, when you want it! Glad her father was more relaxed and didn’t join in the guilt-giving.

How small is your new baby? Do they know what breed (or mix of breeds) she is? Small dogs can get into stuff, but they also aren’t tall enough to do things like steal food off your kitchen table and counter tops!

I hope she learns that lesson, I kept hearing her whine as I was getting to know the dog more.

She’s 16lbs, a Pekingese Longhair Chihuahua mix, according to the shelter. You can see the Pekingese in her face and colorings, but she has a long nose and is tall like a Chihuahua.

Oh all the times I never learned and my dog stole my sandwiches off the table [emoji23] I won’t have that issue now.

So I’m just looking at things low to the ground she can get into, or places she might try to explore and get stuck in so I can block it off.

She sounds like an interesting mix ... and perfect size. 16 pounds is small enough to easily pick up, but big enough to hug!

[emoji23] Everyone says that about her! Maybe it’ll be clearer what she is when I share the picture.

Omg, she loves being cuddled and petted so much, I can’t wait to see her again!

16lbs also fits well in my Burberry tote. I think she’d fit in all my totes actually haha.
