Mulberry!

Coach tree with Burberry bear!

That’ll be my bag till next week. I’m surprised I make it to work dressed appropriately considering how tired I am. Stupid cold.
I hope you feel better soon bakeacookie!

@ksuromax, I can do one better. How ‘bout I show you one of your absolute faves...? [emoji6]

Here’s the Bottega Veneta handbag I recently bought on sale (not a Christmas gift, but a “just because”). She’s the last bag purchase of the year for me. She arrived last evening.

@bakeacookie, @HopelessBagGirl, I hope you get over your colds soon.

@bakeacookie, I love your Mulberry. You got it at Nordstrom Rack in Honolulu, right? I never saw a Mulberry in all the times I shopped there. Your bag was truly a very lucky find!

Thank you!

Yup! That’s where I found it! I moved into it right away at the ice cream shop near by [emoji23] it was the exact one I was looking for!

I know. I’m like coughing like crazy in my cubicle yet trying to help decorate for the office in time for the competition.

I’ve been leaving early for the past few days and I already took a day off when I first got hit with this cold. So I’m feeling guilty and staying for the rest of the week because I’m also off several days during the remainder of the month.

So it’s lots of medicating and lots of rest when I can.

I hope it’s gone for the holidays. I’d like to actually enjoy the holidays without coughing or being tired.

Ugh, it sounds awful! I hope it clears up soon!

Happy belated Bday @Sparkletastic ! My bday was on Monday (the 11th). Growing up December birthdays were pretty rough when we always got shafted on the presents so I always feel a bond toward other December babies :D

Oh, and I've literally been lurking and reading this thread for what seems like a week now, trying to catch up. I feel like I know you all now (not creepy at all...).

I plan to join the ban in the New Year with bags though I have yet to decide the amount of time and from when. I have already started a clothes ban from Today to April 13th and this is specifically towards online clothing purchases.
I live on an island, so while we do have some nice stores here, I order everything online. And because I'm in Canada and it can be so expensive to return or exchange (plus the duties will kill you), I have way too many clothes in my closet that I don't like or don't even fit right. And then I keep adding and now I have so much stuff that I order more stuff because I don't remember what I have:nuts:

Anyway, long story short, because my husband and I (and pooch) are heading down to California and Hawaii after Xmas until about Feb or March, I've decided I'll only buy clothes in person. Like at an actual store! So, no online shopping at all from now to April will ensure that whatever I do buy I have tried it on in the store and know I'm getting something that's good and I'll use.

As for purses...I think my ban will commence from February 27th (after I get back from London) to May 27th (before I go to Rome). That way I can get a nice bag in London and Rome if I wish but the period between I won't buy any, online or otherwise.

But I'm still deciding. Say a prayer for me that I don't go on a bag-buying frenzy between now and end of Feb!

Hope you guys are all well :D I really love reading all of your posts as it's really made me look at my collection. I've recently sold a LOT so I feel like my collection has been downsized to the point where it feels like I'm missing things (my last sales were my black and white chev medium Gucci Marmont, a black with ghw metalasse YSL college/envelope bag, a YSL large college bag in grey and my teal *sobs fave color ever* Gucci velvet marmont mini). I work from home and don't leave the house much so I don't get to use my bags unless I'm traveling for events, so I really have to look at the functions of my bags differently.

I'm rambling, sorry:amuse:. But I'm excited to finally say hi!

Happy birthday! Welcome to the thread! And I wish you a success on the ban and shopping trip! ;)

Welcome to the thread! I also joined pretty recently and did the same thing, reading and catching up for a week before jumping in. I knew it was time to join when I started to feel like I was watching the party through a window, while the front door was just sitting there, open for me to walk though!

Welcome! So glad you moved from lurking to joining in the fun!!!

And OHMYGAWD! You sold a teal velvet Gucci? You are one determined lady. I would have died with that bag in my clutches!!! LOL!
This cracks me up because it can happen. Today I went to drop another bag at the consignment shop. Her display was so beautiful and I was eyeing some of the bags till I realized a lot of them were mine. Lol Well if they don’t sell it won’t be to upset. Though one bag I truly want gone so I told her she can drop the price.
This literally made me LOL! At least you know that you have good taste!

So today was a busy day!!! I had to work a LOT today but, I also had some shopping moments.

First, I have to stop being in denial that I need a car. So, I went to the Lexus dealer to look at the RX350. I took my trusty Max Mara with me today so she went along for the trip. This is so an on-the-body bag. It just looks like a box sitting here. But I get a TON of compliments when I carry her. Makes me think of getting a different color but I do want different styles for work and I never carry this for play. IMG_3163.JPG
The Lexus reminds me of the Max Mara. Elegant, serviceable, high quality but doesn't get my goofy happy points going. I still like the Cadillac SRX. Argh! But, I think I'm going to get the Lexus because 1) it's a better car 2) the 2015 I was looking at is deeeply discounted and 3) I don't care about cars Lol! So I should get the one that is most practical. I need a car that can last another 10+ years because I just don't ever want to buy a car.

And!!!! I got a red lamb Chanel as a possible replacement for my red caviar! (Funny how I'm jumping up and down about a bag and I'm like a dead eyed cod fish about a car.)

My current bag is a single flap but I haven't been able to find that particular red color in lamb. So, I researched other red shades and found a double flap that is the same color.

So now I have a dilemma: what's more important: lambskin or keeping the roominess of my single flap?

HELP!!! What do you think???
(Here are pictures. Unfortunately my iPhone isn't picking up the true perfection of the red from these bags. It's a deep true red with just a hint of a blue undertone. Gosh these bags are sooooo gorgeous! I wish I could make myself keep both. Lol!)
