Oh, I forgot to add, at month's end, I summarize my Evernote list into this Excel sheet. I'm not sure if there is a facility in Evernote for consolidation. In the meantime, I use this spreadsheet which my friend swears is the height of OCD behavior!

Wow! You’re really serious about this wear number! I’m only happy so much I have a list of bags that I own. [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]

 Shouldn't enable but you look fabulous

Oh... that’s not me. That’s the seller. I wish I could look that good in that coat. [emoji4] We have this type of seller that will go to the clothing market and “select” that pieces that she likes, then, she will create a look from those pieces, does the modeling wearing them, and we can order from her based on what we like. Some people will go with the total look, some will pick only pieces they like. I’m that latter part. This seller is actually very good looking and can pull off everything she picks. Once she hired a “model” to do the modeling for her during her “shopping trip”. All I can say is that it’s only a one-time thing. After that, she just goes back to modeling her own clothes. She just does a much much better job than the model she hired.

Welcome to my neighborhood. I've been in this general vicinity for 2 months now, ever since I went to urgent care and ended up being admitted to the hospital. Being sick, taking care of medical stuff, being concerned about medical stuff, all of it is physically and emotionally exhausting. Doesn't leave much room for other non-essential activity. Your Mulberry will wait patiently. Take care of yourself and feel better soon.

Get well soon! [emoji4]

So this month it seemed I was itching to spend my money before receiving it. I think I miss my McQueen shopper  it's been so much effort to chase it and nothing/no one has got back to me since leaving it in the cab. I toyed with the idea of replacing it, something I could wear everyday additionally to my briefcase for work but missed out by one day on a sale price (real) ostrich back-pack that I thought would be good because it'd be hands-free and attached to me and also Medor clutch from Hermes that was on their online store (just because of the colour and hardware). Happily (or not) someone is saving me from buying more bags.

Oh... I’m sorry about your MQ shopper. :( I’ve lost countless of wallets when I was young. I hope someone get back to you, or maybe you’ll find something that you like enough to replace it emotionally. [emoji17]

I left a bag in a cab in 1988, when I was 8. My first purse I was really into. I still remember that plastic white bag with hot pink print of palm trees and such. I loved it and left it in a New York taxi cab.

@bakeacookie hope you are feeling better already!

I think collection is an apt term, just a group of items. I would just call them ‘my bags’ in real life, like I just call my shoes ‘my shoes’ or my coats ‘my coats’, but if you have more than you absolutely need, I guess it slips over into need-driven clothing/wardrobe and into a curated wardrobe, or, ....’collection’ of wearable pretties.
I think of my coats and boots as collections, albeit it small, single digit amount collections that do the trick and then some, that I really enjoy using beyond their purely functional purpose.
My clothes as well of course. Jewelry is a pure collection since none of it is needed! Lotions and potions is more like a stash. You use it up.....

Anyway, interesting stuff!

Anyone have a great anti-aging foundation or B.B. cream they heartily recommend? I hate when my makeup settles in and makes my face look drier and wrinklier than my 38 year old face would look without makeup on. My husband is in an international airport tomorrow and wants to buy me something, so I thought, since I’m about out of foundation he could buy me some easily found mainstream department store brand bottle of face goop. Doesn’t need SPF because I put that on anyways, but something with skin beneficial ingredients would be great, and light cosmetic improvement; I’m not trying to cover up anything major, just a fresh and slightly illuminated version of me. :)

I like Bobbi Brown’s intensive skin serum foundation. Very good for my dry skin. The coverage is light, which is my preference. I don’t know how much it’ll help with the anti-aging and everything else though. [emoji4]

Happy belated Bday @Sparkletastic ! My bday was on Monday (the 11th). Growing up December birthdays were pretty rough when we always got shafted on the presents so I always feel a bond toward other December babies :D

Oh, and I've literally been lurking and reading this thread for what seems like a week now, trying to catch up. I feel like I know you all now (not creepy at all...).

I plan to join the ban in the New Year with bags though I have yet to decide the amount of time and from when. I have already started a clothes ban from Today to April 13th and this is specifically towards online clothing purchases.
I live on an island, so while we do have some nice stores here, I order everything online. And because I'm in Canada and it can be so expensive to return or exchange (plus the duties will kill you), I have way too many clothes in my closet that I don't like or don't even fit right. And then I keep adding and now I have so much stuff that I order more stuff because I don't remember what I have:nuts:

Anyway, long story short, because my husband and I (and pooch) are heading down to California and Hawaii after Xmas until about Feb or March, I've decided I'll only buy clothes in person. Like at an actual store! So, no online shopping at all from now to April will ensure that whatever I do buy I have tried it on in the store and know I'm getting something that's good and I'll use.

As for purses...I think my ban will commence from February 27th (after I get back from London) to May 27th (before I go to Rome). That way I can get a nice bag in London and Rome if I wish but the period between I won't buy any, online or otherwise.

But I'm still deciding. Say a prayer for me that I don't go on a bag-buying frenzy between now and end of Feb!

Hope you guys are all well :D I really love reading all of your posts as it's really made me look at my collection. I've recently sold a LOT so I feel like my collection has been downsized to the point where it feels like I'm missing things (my last sales were my black and white chev medium Gucci Marmont, a black with ghw metalasse YSL college/envelope bag, a YSL large college bag in grey and my teal *sobs fave color ever* Gucci velvet marmont mini). I work from home and don't leave the house much so I don't get to use my bags unless I'm traveling for events, so I really have to look at the functions of my bags differently.

I'm rambling, sorry:amuse:. But I'm excited to finally say hi!

I want your travel schedule! Tots jelly.

Hey, this is probably a dumb question but are you a man, woman or neither? I see the bearded avatar pic and I’m thinking, is she/they putting a face of a celeb I just don’t know on there because she’s/they are really into him, or is this a dude? Frankly I’m slightly hoping you’re not a woman, because I think variety on here would be great, but if you’re just another one of us gals (hehehe) then of course that’s absolutely fine—the norm!
Welcome either way!!!!! It makes not a whit of difference, obviously. I’m just happy to hear posts from a nice person and the avatar pic of the hot guy is just making my screen a little sexier, so thank you for that. :)

Coach tree with Burberry bear!

That’ll be my bag till next week. I’m surprised I make it to work dressed appropriately considering how tired I am. Stupid cold.
I'm so sorry you're coping with a cold, bake. No fun to be sick when everyone around you is all jolly-jolly with the holidays and you just want to crawl into bed and pull the covers over your head.
On the positive side, your Mulbs bag looks terrific with your Burberry bear and Christmas tree charm. Very festive, even if you're feeling anything but!
Are you able to go into work a little bit later, and leave a little bit earlier? Or don't you have a flexible schedule? There's a lot of flu going around up here on our part of the coast, and you wouldn't want your cold to turn into something really yucky...

I know. I’m like coughing like crazy in my cubicle yet trying to help decorate for the office in time for the competition.

I’ve been leaving early for the past few days and I already took a day off when I first got hit with this cold. So I’m feeling guilty and staying for the rest of the week because I’m also off several days during the remainder of the month.

So it’s lots of medicating and lots of rest when I can.

I hope it’s gone for the holidays. I’d like to actually enjoy the holidays without coughing or being tired.

Love your boots, but bring back the Loop!!! I am extremely biased
@ksuromax, I can do one better. How ‘bout I show you one of your absolute faves...? [emoji6]

Here’s the Bottega Veneta handbag I recently bought on sale (not a Christmas gift, but a “just because”). She’s the last bag purchase of the year for me. She arrived last evening.
