I dislike the pouch vs actual pocket. The pouch they give is thin and kind of useless. [emoji85] and I have two from my Neverfulls. I use the zip pocket inside more.

Agree! I have never used the pouch . I leave it in the dust bag at home.

I tried it in the store and I didn't feel it was bigger than the SL. I hope I remembered right.

On another note, I saw a Bally tote in the medium size at the outlet store of the company carrying Gucci, Tod's, Burberry and a lot more premium brands here (yes it's just one company for all of them!). Berlina tote is the name of the Bally right? It's in a light greyish (or was it cream) color. It's so pretty!But, the price is roughly in the $700s! Why so expensive!!!

I asked the lady about it and she said there's not very much being produced anymore. She gets what she can, but there's not a lot available. I would check eBay or other sites that sell memorabilia.

Isn't that the way it goes? But that tells me that you may be ready to part with it. What if you sold it and used the money to do something special with the gift giver? Create a new memory?

Yes strap is long enough to go over the shoulder but the outer strap doesn’t stay on very well.

I was thinking of Leather Surgeons as well. I don’t have any experience with them, but the ladies over on the Chanel forum swear by them. It’s probably worth at least contacting them and asking.

Whittle away, Elaine! I'm doing the same thing. Although I happen to have one coming in today and then I think I might put myself on a ban*. Ha ha, my ban has one caveat: Ban is rescinded on overseas purchases made while traveling. :lol:

I think it’s the Bernina tote DC and I have.

Wait till sales. Bally will get to 40-50% off. I think mine came to $250-300 on sale and it’s the biggest one. The outlets go on sale too.

Now she’s thinking of getting one! I told her about the problem with shoulder carry but that doesn’t really bother her.

So, I feel bad because I have two Garden Parties and rarely wear them. I used to have three but sold the one in the color I liked/used the least. So, that is one out at least. I’ve been thinking, though, and I realize that one of the few holes in my collection is a luxe shoulder tote. I love my Longchamps but sometimes really want a more high-end option. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

I like the looks of the Saint Laurent tote but hate when bag designers do the detachable pouch thing rather than building in pockets. Owned an LV Neverfull years ago but didn’t like the skinny shoulder straps (plus, I do want leather, not canvas). Stylistically, I’m thinking casual elegance, not business tote.

I’m intrigued by this one but haven’t ever really ventured into BV. Would love everyone’s opinions.
