I tried it in the store and I didn't feel it was bigger than the SL. I hope I remembered right.

On another note, I saw a Bally tote in the medium size at the outlet store of the company carrying Gucci, Tod's, Burberry and a lot more premium brands here (yes it's just one company for all of them!). Berlina tote is the name of the Bally right? It's in a light greyish (or was it cream) color. It's so pretty! But, the price is roughly in the $700s! Why so expensive!!!
They are made in Europe and have beautiful quality. They also stand by their product.

I think it’s the Bernina tote DC and I have.

Wait till sales. Bally will get to 40-50% off. I think mine came to $250-300 on sale and it’s the biggest one. The outlets go on sale too.

That's why I was shocked at the price because I saw one in Yoox before for less than $300 and also a few in Farfetch!

Btw, my sister willingly looked at the Coach tote for me. It's about $218 with tax. But I said "Wait! I'm trying to be good!!" We'll see...[emoji4]

I was told on Saturday they are no longer making them, but I think most companies come back around eventually. I paid closer to $400.00 I think even with the sales.

Isn't that the way it goes? But that tells me that you may be ready to part with it. What if you sold it and used the money to do something special with the gift giver? Create a new memory?
I thought of this but it is no longer made and the company that made them no longer does leather goods. I might bring it to the consignment shop if I can find the original box. The paper inside is still there but to store it with the other wallets I removed it from the box.

You are so fast, tenKrat! I was also surprised you had so many brown bags because I remember you having lots of color. I guess it’s true about neutrals having the best staying power at the end of the day. Did you sell the crystal pink Daphne? I thought that one was lovely on you.
I went too far with the taupes, tans, etc. At one time, I avoided browns because I really love color, especially the jewel tones because they complement my coloring best. Then I came to the conclusion that neutral colored bags work best with my wardrobe. I adore dresses and button down shirts with all kinds of prints and colors. (I love Robert Graham shirts. The men’s collection is a lot better, but occasionally there will be some great ones in the women’s collection.) I’m in the same boat with @HopelessBagGirl, lol, with lots of color in our clothes and wanting to tone it down with neutral bags.

I did sell my Crystal pink merinos Daphne to a sweet TPFer. I replaced it with a Bottega Veneta bag in their version of pink, Desert Rose.

I’m intrigued by this one but haven’t ever really ventured into BV. Would love everyone’s opinions.

Well, I love Bottega Veneta, so if I was looking for a beautiful leather tote, I’d get this one. The intrecciato leather and chain handles is an elegant look.

I only have one “nice” tote, a limited edition Neverfull MM. My other totes are very utilitarian; they’re either nylon or cotton canvas.

Also point should be made that Massaccesi didn’t exactly appear in TPF out of nowhere. He made bags for Belen Echandia, which was one of those brands that died. The ladies from that subforum were the ones who basically championed Marco because they already knew and trusted his craftsmanship. I think tenKrat was from that era. I was exclusively in the L.A.M.B sub forum in those days, haha! I actually like this historical stuff  I wish the OGs would tell stories about the beginnings of this forum and what things were like back then.
Yes, I’m a holdover from the Belen Echandia subforum from years ago. A lot of us followed Marco. So sad about the other mid-range brands like Kooba, Botkier, Hayden-Harnett, Linea Pelle, etc. They used to have very active subforums here, but they all faded away. I remember there was a lot more drama in the Belen Echandia subforum. The Massaccesi thread is pretty benign.
