I don't care if hardware matches my jewelry lol. Or shoes. It's so minimal that I don't bother coordinating them.

I wear silver, platinum, white gold. I wear minimal gold toned jewelry, because I prefer the look of silver more. I have a few rose gold costume pieces. I also have pearls.

But my jewelry never influenced my bag purchases and vice versa.

I just buy what looks good and feels good on me.

I'm kind of tired of people pushing that you need x,y,z to be considered chic and fashionable.

Like I don't need certain jewelry. Or button up shirts. Or certain color / style bags. They don't work for me like other types of things do.

And that's ok.

msd- which is your favorite of your small totes and which one holds it's shape when empty? I was looking on line at the gigi Ny and the bally small bernina tote. I was trying to remember why the medium bally did not work besides the size. I would love to get the tote soon and then buy nothing in January at all.
Gigi mini Taylor definitely holds its shape and the base is really hard. The pebbled leather is not soft to touch (unlike Massaccesi pebbled), there is some sort of a dry finish to it. It is matte. Personally I like it. It could be a favorite, but mine is a bright color, so is not that versatile and that precludes it from being a fave. Another small tote is my Dior Panarea. It also holds its shape (got mine in excellent condition so the nylon has not softened) but is not stiffly structured. This would have been my favorite if only the strap drop was an inch or more longer. Finally my recently acquired Le Foulonne. Currently this is my favorite small tote, but it doesn't hold its shape when empty, though it doesn't totally plop down.

Btw, I was looking at Saint Laurent boutique the other day, the medium shopper tote (N/S) was beautiful in burgundy, well made and light weight, though you may not want the price range for a simple tote. My Marine blue is large and E/W.

I thought about getting the neverfull in de in the pm size but the strap drop is to short. We have snow at the moment that will turn to rain so I won't wear anything with vachetta in this. I am going to think about this a bit more. I think in the long run if I want it to be my carefree bag I would like to spend about 300 or less so I won't freak out if the weather is bad. Saint Laurent just opened an outlet. Not sure if I could get there any time soon or even if I want to spend that kind of money. They are beautiful though.

Big Gucci only or small crossbody. Sold all the others.

Ooh. Okay. Great job though!

So rainy day tote would need to be zipped? Color preference?

Maybe if there's a sale at the outlets YSL would be closer to the preferred price range?

There are brands that make NF alike styles, zipped, and would come in different colors and patterns. MK and I think Dooney? There was a Disney Dooney that would be great for rainy days, I just forget what it was called. It would come on their regular line too.

ETA: Wouldn't MZ Wallace work well for snow/rain? I found a tote at the rack one day and that's exactly what came to mind lol.

No real color preference because most of my coats are black. Zipper on top would be nice but if it is not huge my arm could hold it closed. For some reason my nylon bags attract the salt off the cars even though they don't touch each other. Just sold my last saffaino dooney before the holidays but it was a shape that didn't work well for me.

Hm. So saffiano or coated canvas would work?

Hopefully you'll find one that's light and durable!

I'm looking for an inexpensive tote (or tote like) bag too. Sometimes I need to throw things in a bag and go. I want zip top, external pocket, water bottle pocket and lightweight. I'm thinking if I also get waterproof that I can use it for outdoor concerts and beaches. I don't care for the look of Longchamp which I know is the favorite on TPF so I'm struggling to find good options (especially since I hate going into a stor. LOL!)

But I'm not looking for a fashion item. This will be a functional item. I won't even count it in my collection. It will be luggage. Are you looking for something you can wear fashionably or "down and dirty". LOL!

Totally random, what about Cath Kidston? It's online only but on sale it's pretty inexpensive, and if it doesn't work out, adorable gifts.

Bally didn't work for you, right? That was the inexpensive Neverfull.

There's MBMJ quilted totes at the Rack that are fantastically durable.

What about the Madewell zip totes? J Crew often has canvas ones too.

I have little experience with salt and snow, but I think Gigi NY will be a nice choice, plus there is a sale on some colors.

Ooh, the Gigi NY is a good idea too.

I went to the mall for a walk, and spotted some cute totes.

MK, I believe there's a version without a chain?

I like the MJ one the most. It has several sizes and width/length.

This cutie was on sale at Coach for $247, but egg talked me out of it. Lol. It's not completely love like the D&B bucket bag.

But here's more eye candy

I love this color from Coach and may buy something with this color when it goes on sale in the summer. Hopefully like a hangtag or something lol.
