I really like you ladies! I got my feelings hurt for the first time on TPF after five months hanging around here and I'm glad to have this thread to visit now that I think I'm going to fade away from that thread that I feel was pretty judgy about babies and moms who go out in public with babies. I can kind of brush off most things but I do have a pout on if people talk smack about mamas out in the world with their littles just doing the best they can, not hurting anyone else or asking anything from anyone. Being a mom to a crew of littles is a little bit like selling yourself into slavery but of course an unpaid act of love and service that one day does come to an end and pay dividends. It's just so hard in the moment and I would wish that even women who aren't into kids would feel empathy that moms working hard to raise the next generation are doing hard work and don't usually get much recognition in society for it but we do it anyways. Even professional childless women who can't stand kids have had a mom once who took care of them probably, so motherhood in general should most likely not be an automatic knee jerk cause to be snarky and snarl the upper lip, right? I don't get it, I totally click with a close girlfriend who has zero interest in being a mom but who is nice to me about my job as a mom and I'm nice to her about her life too of course, so why can't it be like that online? Why the smack talk about mommies? OK thanks for listening, needed to vent. I'm good now.
