2014 resolution - shopping from my own bag and wallet collection. Any one else?

My list is ridiculously detailed but I will cut/paste from my notepad & share the method to my madness... These are the 9 purses I'm planning to keep, then I'll add a Sukey and a TBD red bag to have 11 total

I made a list with less detail for clutches bc excepting my mono pochette they're all leather. I don't know if my stamped luggage tag is supposed to count as a SLG but I put it here bc it's not a purse or clutch. My Burberry cosmetic bag is the only nice pouch that I've purchased, mostly I use cute makeup giveaway pouches, eg "your $30 purchase with Clinique" to keep my purses organized

Nicely done! I need to add hardware on my list as well as other carry options. Since DH bought my totally for our anniversary and the other tote as a gift. I have saved money as I did not want to buy more bags when he bought me two in the last two months. Thank you everyone for talking me out of the suede and leather satchel .

Thanks! I love my Alma, I just get worried that I'll ruin it carrying so much inside. I think I will keep the Madeline. There hasn't been anything to out do it's usefulness.
Hoping to add some new bag brands onto the wall! Haha. But eventually, it's showing me I have to stop, I'm running out of room on the wall, in my closet...
I have been meaning to go to Vegas, especially since I'm a fan of Cirque du Soleil. But adding up all the shows I wanted to see was adding up to a pretty penny, so I put it off in preference over my London trips. Depending on where I go next year, I may squeeze in Vegas. It is super close. And foood. Oh goodness. I desperately need to lose this weight so I can go eat.
D: You get Dior at your optometrist?! I'm so sad that Lenscrafters stopped carrying Chanel frames when I was finally earning a real salary and not on a sad intern salary. Lol.
But your Cole Haan and Burberry are so cute!! I actually wanted a tote with the red trim. I see why it's hard to wear, it seems to be a brighter red too which would make it harder to coordinate with.
It's a project run by Nordstrom. You send in a certain amount of items in sale-able condition, their brand preferences are on their website too. If they accept a certain amount of items they give you a Nordstrom gift card. It's great if you have lots of items that are brand name and in good condition, and if you shop at Nordstrom lol.
It was a great idea, but a lot of my items weren't mall brand, or not enough of it was to get the minimum amount you had to send to get a gift card. So I ended up giving them away.

ETA: So I'm wearing my new glasses that I had purchased last week, and it came in the sleekest of Burberry cases! I've worn Tiffany frames for years (they all have my favorite color on the frames, I couldn't resist!) and when it came to choose a new pair, I had each style that was in my preferred price point. So I went to Burberry and I rather like them now. Lol. Maybe because it's different.
But then I thought about bags. I've had gone through Macy's, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdales, and a lot of bags just don't catch my attention anymore. Is it because I have it "all" or something similar? Or perhaps my obsession is waning? It was a bit eye opening, which is now clearer as I have my new prescription. lol.
Even after wearing glasses since grade school, even I can't figure that out for myself. XD
It's really blind choosing on my side (almost literally). So I took a bunch of selfies and sent it to my DBF and friends to have them choose for me.
I am utterly useless at choosing glasses. I'm still on the fence if these are too big for my face. They sure are comfy though. And everyone at Lenscrafters were all "ooh! pick that!!"

These are both very pretty Amor! I love the red trim on the Burberry, you could wear that with so much, black, navy, red, gray, she is a beauty!
It really was good for me to do a strategic purse analysis & keep a list for my phone! I am now up to six purses/clutches that I'm going to let go of when we get back to Chicago, thereby making room for a Sukey and a new red purse. It's time to let go of my red Kate Spade corduroy purse that I've had since college & pretty much only gets holiday/Valentine's Day use bc the shape & handles aren't great for my needs. Possibly an Alma or even a red Sukey if I can find such a unicorn at a price that is allowed but a better choice for me on a new red bag would be something that can fit a laptop comfortably. I'll know it when I find it!
Thanks Amor! The Cassis Epi is really pretty. LV made all kinds of purple Epi pieces with the pink interior that year. They also did the opposite & made pink Epi (I think called Grenache?) with purple interior too. I'm still completely obsessed with my Vernis Zippy wallet for everyday use & plan to use my Epi organizer as a clutch or when traveling/need to carry my passport
Also I really like the Burberry outlined in red. I agree that it's a little on the busy side but paired with a neutral outfit, it's fabulous! Count me in with Mimmy as wanting to shop your closet

I sent my first donation to the Fashion Project this week. I'm curious to see if I get credit for any of my items. I only sent in items on their accepted designer list. I'm kicking myself for just giving a Karen Zambos dress to the Goodwill, as this was on the list. Oh well, live and learn. I'm still glad that I'm continuing to control my closet though!
Oh, and because of the above, I'm 3 slg's out and no bags or slg's in this month. It's killing me!

I love both bags! I really like the shade of red on the Burberry and how it outlines the bag, and like the little hanging thing on the cole haan bag (it's a nice little detail)
Still in my nylon DB - pouring buckets and buckets here. If this keeps up, I'll be in my db until the end of the year haha.

Bake - I have noticed I am the same way lately, I will walk through the purse section at Holt and it's like, I see really nice things but nothing that makes me excited, it is just a "meh" kind of feeling. However the other day I did see the new LC all leather structured le pliages and I have to say, I got really really excited looking at it, until I realized it is almost identical to my LV Bellevue PM, especially since I loved it in the red haha. I kind of miss being excited by bags lately.
dc - good luck with your glasses picking! At least DH will be there to offer opinions.
