Maybe someone other than me can read that creed. I can't see it well enough to authenticate.

I can't make out all the details either. And I'd want to see a clear readable photo of all the stamping on the male part of the magnetic snap.

The 3 digits of the serial prefix SEEM to be ok. And there's one detail that makes me think it's probably genuine, but I'm still not 100 percent sure, maybe a 90 percent probability that it's ok, depending on the mag snap.

Since Camel is shown as one of the color options on that catalog page I posted for approximately the same month and year, it's probably Camel. I really don't want to get involved with colors, there are just too many variables. But the month and year are close.

Is there any kind of Made In tag or stamp in the bag?

The seller claims " 90's COACH vintage Small Kelly Silhouette - does not have the coach plate because it wa one of the first ones. 9"x5"

The "one of the first ones" explanation doesn't really sound right. (There's no " Small Kelly Silhouette " name in my files, maybe the seller was just describing the shape. Hermes has officially held the French trademark on "Kelly Bag" since 2009 but it was probably unofficially recognised as a Hermes trademark long before then).

Sometimes smaller bags didn't have creed stamps or plates but if it's alligator there should be one because that's an exotic leather and sales of items with that leather may be restricted in certain countries or jurisdictions. We have photos of other equally small exotic leather bags, almost all were made in Italy and they all have metal plates stamped with creeds and production codes.

The zipper pulls look right and match the other exotics made in and around 1999 so it's probably authentic but that's all I can say without any kind of photo record. Unless there are photos somewhere of the bag, I can't identify it.

Samples can't be 100 percent authenticated. I'm basing my "probably authentic" on the bag's hardware. I can't see any counterfeiter going through the expense of not only making an alligator item, but then making copies of the zipper hardware used by Coach only for a similar line of exotics.
