Coach fur and suede trimmed purse f052-8k47
(see attached photos)

Hi, I have been looking for this coach purse intensely, and I have found a few online. I found a lady who is a military wife who has one for sale. Everything on the bag seemed to check out fine, except for the creed stamp is missing the word "is". I found a second bag online that also has the same creed stamp... what are my chances: Coach messed up or I encountered two different people with two different fakes?
(I know this is one of two models that has the C pattern diagonally, and the fabric alignment and stitching seem to align properly)

The lady's story of how she acquired the purse (her response to my question of purchase location and missing "is" in the creed):
"Oh my goodness I never even noticed that. I just checked my two other coach bags and they have the word is. I bought this particular bag at the Air Force Base Exchange in Las Vegas. That particular BX has a huge Coach kiosk inside the BX. I'm not sure if that was a manufacturer defect or what. Very strange. I didn't even notice when I took the picture. One of my other Coach purses also came from the Las Vegas BX but it has the word is. So, now I'm baffled. :O)"

Any opinions on the authenticity of this purse?
Thanks in advance!

That bag looks fine to me. I think the lack of "is" is a legitimate Coach mistake.

I blew up the picture of this listing and it, too, is missing the word:

Unfortunately, none of the listings for the same style have good creed pictures but the one I posted shows the same wording as you have.

ETA: I was able to pull up an old listing from October, 2011. Although the gallery picture isn't viewable, the pictures in the body of the description are there and that creed states that "this a Coach bag."

I have no doubt that the bag you are considering is authentic and this is an example of an error that was missed by QA.

Coach transferred almost all their production to China in 2000. Whoever claimed something is fake because it says Made In China should be ignored, they don't know anything about Coach.

There aren't enough photos to tell if it's genuine.

What other photos are needed? I will request them from the seller, (she hasnt relisted yet,)

She did edit the listing prior to her removing it, said she got it as a bridesmaid gift and the bride got it at a coach store..

I'd like to see a clear pic of the lining and any "Made in ..." tag inside the bag, and also the silver clip that fastens one end of the strap to the wristlet.

Item: COACH BROADWAY SATCHEL
Listing Number: 140664340394
Seller: catonahotpc

Comments: I have searched the forum and know that catonahotpc is a trusted seller of authentic Coach bags. However, this one shows the item as style 9891 but the creed says 6116. Would appreciate it very much for any advises on which is the correct style.

Can I safely say that all Coach bags sold by catonahotpc are authentic?

Thank you so much for the time and efforts taken by the authenticators to help make our online shopping for Coach bags more safe and sound.

It's an authentic Broadway Satchel with a "random 7 digit serial number". It was made before Coach started using "Style Numbers" as part of the creed.

The seller is a trusted seller of Coach.

Check out the Coach guides linked below, especially the 1st one titled - Coach Serial Numbers - The Basic Facts

I didn't realize tpf had gone down last night. I think mine might have been missed too? here is the original post. Thank you for any help.

Go back and read my answer to your post in the other thread. There's NOTHING wrong with the color. Don't ever depend on anything a Coach employee tells you regarding authenticity or even colors.
