Received my Florentine small coin case in Natural. Waited many months for this to come back in stock.

Also received my Sorrento Zip Zip satchel. This is being returned because this is not the color they have on the website. This looks more like a fuchsia color which is what they have showing for the Lilac. Now I'm wondering if they mixed up the Lilac and the Violet colors, and if I should now take a chance and order the Lilac to see if I get the grape-ish purple that is shown. They do have a Lilac color for the Sorrento Small logo Bag, but that looks more like a mauve to me.

The bag weighs 1.8 lbs, since they don't have the weight listed on the website.

This is the website photo that they have for Violet, which is how I thought the bag would look.

Wow! That's what lululemon does. You have to see customer pics to see the real color. I like the IRL color

It's a beautiful shade of blue!
Enjoy!

Enjoy your new handbag. This can be a dangerous place.... so many temptations. I really love the color you chose.

That shade of blue is WOW! And cute design.

This is off topic, but I just spent about three hours on emails, online complaint forms (FTC), credit card dispute department, and then new communication based on things just communicated... You get the picture.

I actually thought of Dooney. In over 20 years as a customer, I have received only two items with defects, they ship pretty quickly, have an easy return process and I get my refund quickly. This seems to be old-fashioned customer service these days. I appreciate it!

No wonder I keep buying bags. I'll post my Christmas to myself D&B purchases, that is, after I take something for my headache.
Thank you! Those loops for the strap attachment remind me of a vintage Coach suspender bag I can never afford. Last year I fell in love with the Dooney Wayfarer bags but I didn't really want nylon.

Can't wait to see your goodies.

Yes, I think Dooney and ILD are reputable companies. We often get
frustrated when they don't do what we would like or if we find a
product not up to our standards or with a defect. But the bottom line,
in today's world, I get a lot better product and service from Dooney
and ILD than from most department stores.

I too have returned very few things from Dooney and ILD, and I've
bought a ton over the years. I've always gotten a refund in a reasonable
amount of time. And the only issues I've had is that ILD doesn't
price match, it's almost impossible to cancel an item before it ships,
and yes, most of the time I end up paying the $10 return fee.
Small price to pay knowing I can count on getting a refund for the purchase price. And yes, sometimes I follow up to try to get that $10 fee back if the
bag is truly damaged or defective.

I've learned that the best way to deal with Dooney and ILD returns is to follow their procedures to the letter, send items back immediately, and
always get a receipt from UPS when I drop the package at the store.
And these days, I sometimes take pictures of issues. I've also learned that
some things I might not like are not considered defects... and there is nothing I can do about that other than return the bag and eat the $10.
I used to stress and get upset about those things... now I chose not to.
It's taken me a lot of years to get to this point. 😁... and a lot of handbag
shopping.

My Holiday purchases (minus three cosmetic cases).

I'm happy with everything. I made more returns with D&B than usual, but ended up with exactly what I needed and wanted in style and color. I purchased to go with specific fashion items and it took a little trial and error.
Great choices, all very classic and elegant. Enjoy your 'new' collection of Dooney treasures. I have both the Alto styles (in different colors)
and also got the bone Blair
in pebbled leather after we chatted about it. The bone is so elegant, even
tho it's a larger handbag.

I'm really happy with the Blair in bone. You mentioned how durable the pebble leather was (thanks!) and I wanted a big, neutral satchel for this Summer. It's perfect to carry for other seasons, but I seem to buy lots of bags that seem better for Autumn/Winter. I think it's tied in with buying too many coats and jackets.

I really think PF D&B lovers, helped me discover new leathers, great sale prices and style reviews, to get exactly what I wanted in 2024

For 2025, I'm starting my sale shopping in October. What a surprise the deals came so early. I didn't shop until November. I wonder what I missed..

She actually was delivered a day early, and I love her! The box was just a little dented on the side where the shipping label was, but not bad. The handles, strap and zipper pull on the outside pocket were all wrapped. I still haven't taken the wrapping off the strap because I'll use my web strap.

I love the hardware on the handles. Round and shiny gold like the Cameron and Lucca satchels. (They look the same in pictures, I don't own Lucca or Cameron.)
Just like my pebble grain drawstring bag there is only one inside front wall slip pocket. I loaded it quickly and I put my pens in the zipper pocket and my meds and stuff in the front slip pocket, because if you put too much in the zipper pocket it makes the back outside zipper pocket tight. Since taking the pictures I put my meds and stuff back in the pouch I had them in when I was carrying my Olivia satchel. The PG satchel has a little more room than my suede satchel so I can go back to using my pouch, which means I can split my pens between the zip and slip pockets.

I'm going to carry it this afternoon but I still want to go back to my suede satchel for the winter. I was just told we're getting rain in our area after Friday so that may be a good time to switch to my new bag.

Glad you love your new red bag. I'm sure you will love carrying her in the rain and snow.
Pebble leather is so carefree.

Wow! They are both really pretty. I like the two leather colors on this bag. The combo is striking.

beautiful! I'm happy to see you are switching it up and going with red this time!!!

Thanks GA!
I was really looking for an all red leather bag, since my suede bag had two leather colors, but the few Dooney had didn't have the other features I didn't want to compromise on. Now that I see the bag IRL I'm very happy I compromised on the color.

P.S. I'm glad you're feeling a little better!
