Your New Dooney: A mini reveal thread!

Here's my purchases from the 4th of July sale iloveDooney was having. This is my first time getting anything from the Wayfarer Collection. I actually bought several pieces from this collection, but these are the two I decided to keep. I originally wanted the Drawstring in navy, but that had sold out by the time I decided to by, but I'm happy with the black.

Enjoy your new handbags. I've never bought anything from the Wexford leather
collection. I'd love to hear what you think about it.
I love the 'shadow' duck logo on your handbag. That reminds me of the
logo Dooney used on the Dillen collection years ago.

My beautiful new Dooney. Thanks to a wonderful Ebay seller, I found this 2006 classic in new condition. It's a re-purchase for me, as I owned the original at the time, and just did not appreciate it enough or give it enough love. I removed the shoulder strap and added a crossbody strap from MZ Wallace. It's perfect for me, and so in love.

Enjoy your Dooney treasure, once again. A good quality Dooney black leather handbag
is a great addition to your collection. I hope you reach for it often.

Well I was carrying my small Ronnie backpack while out on an outing with hubby yesterday sooo we ge there a the
Y didn't Oallow any backpacks. My small Ronnie bakpac k was offended. S o I’ve found something small thati can carry my things in hopefully. I’ll add pictures when it aerrives. I’m excited to see how it comes…I will also have a custom leg brace from hangar clclinic. They took a cast of my leg. My problem I’sstroke left my left side so weakened with paralysis…my knee buckles with any real weight placed upon it so trying to stand and walk is impossible without something supporting my left knee. So my custom brace will have a lockwith a knee joint that con be controlled by screws. It won’t be ready for another week but I will update when I get this .I call my new leg brace a new car as it will be getting me around.up and walking all over the place definitely more mobile new car.,leg brace.. how’s everyone been doing? Outpatient therapy is going great, and I wish I ocoulld have started it earlier. But I’m enjoying this part of recovering from a massive stroke, seeingworking on gettin g results.sure I really wish it never happened, but iiwill be stronger in e long run.im trying to remain positive as I work on regaining strength and control over my left side.now my bad back t the dooney. Did anyone get anything from the summer sales? I missed Florentine day. I didn’t even look at anything. I’m proud of myself for not even looking at the one day Florentine sale.

Sounds like you are doing really well. That's wonderful. And congrats on not buying a handbag every time there is a sale. 😁 It can get a little overwhelming. I bought
3 bags this year... not sure which sale. I posted some pics. I bought the Alto Woven
Shopper in Saddle in the regular (medium size) and the same bag in the large
size in black. I also bought a Plumes coated cotton drawstring. The color is blue, but it's
very multicolor. I just had to own something in the Plumes print.... it's beautifu.l

I can’t say I was a really good girl after being on hospital island I got home and bought at least 4 bags including a weekender. I could not stop myself, I always wanted a weekender. After looking at all the baggage that was just piled up after that ugly internet crash. I’m thinking carryons are the ticket no checked luggage…. Not like I’m traveling any time soon. Sigh hopefully around my birthday I can go somewhere and see some things

I also bought some Dooney nylon and cabriolet pieces for travel.
I don't have any travel plans. But I couldn't resist the classic and
pulled together look of matching items. My fantasy self is very stylish. 🤣
Hope you get to take some great trips and enjoy yourself and your new weekender.

You have a great attitude! I'm glad you are doing so well.

When I broke my hip, it was hard to keep upbeat. I hated being so helpless.

I’m having to learn how to get my balance back and I thought this would be great to wrap around my torso. It’s wonderful and really helps to not have something hanging off of Me on one side… this is quiteroomy and the blue color is beautiful. CanIMG_5721.pngIMG_5719.pnganyone remember if dooney sold Fanny packs

I’m so happy to be alive I can’t help myself. My hubby has been so supportive and takes wonderful care of me. I hate having to depend on him for everything. I can’t even go to the bathroom without help. But I’m so glad to have help that I need. Iwas able to retire from my hospital bed,who does that? This girl!I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. I said if I could do Thati Icould do anything. And boy was it scary.not as scary as being51 andhaving a stroke. Gong to work and waking up in the hospital not feeling my left arm or leg. Not understanding what happened tome or where I was …IMG_8228.jpeg

You have an amazing approach to life. And the positive spirit can make a big difference.
I've been there. Not as dramatic as your stroke, thank goodness. But after a medical issue that turned out to be caused by scar tissue from a previous surgery I spent 3
weeks in the hospital after the surgery to fix the problem. I was so relieved that
the issue was scar tissue and not some serious disease that I just
powered thru and took each day as it came.
I'm glad you have the support of a loving husband. Dealing with these issues
alone is even harder.

I have used a belt bag on occasion too. I can't put anything over my shoulders,
but the belt bag makes it easier to walk with a cane. Only problem....
I have so much stuff in my handbag, it's hard to pare it down and cram in enough
that I feel comfortable I have all I need.
