My toddler spent a good 20 mins in front of it, checking out the different animals she recognized
It looks great! Actually a fantastic work of art. How does the frame hold the scarf in place? Is there some gummy material behind it? Is there glass over it?
I sent it to a local gallery which also does custom framing. I believe the silk is pinned to the back and there is plexiglass over it so I do not need to worry about cleaning. Do not use the regular glass. It will be too heavy for such a size.
For quite a while I've been after more of a notion of a scarf I'd like to find versus an actual one! I hoped to find one with sea life, especially with starfish. I've previously admired this design, and was happy to find this one in favored blues. There is also a pale pink version of this that's so lovely, too!

For quite a while I've been after more of a notion of a scarf I'd like to find versus an actual one! I hoped to find one with sea life, especially with starfish. I've previously admired this design, and was happy to find this one in favored blues.

This design came in a number of really lovely options!
Adding pics from my SS2006 scarf booklet for Parures Océanes, I love the description, especially the last line, “Deck yourself with conches and volutes to better regulate your rhythm with that of the sea floor…”. Such a sweet thought in these strange and uncertain times, the beach and ocean have always felt comforting to me!
Also including a pic of the pink colorway as shown in the booklet, just as delicate and pretty as I remembered! And the photo is so three dimensional, it looks like it could easily be snatched from the pages!
