I LOVE it Red is my favorite color. The letter H is so beautiful on it. It is compact but boy does it have so much space. Its so nice that it isn't overflowing when I put everything in it. To me, its such a special wallet.

What a beautiful journey! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts and loved the detailed narrative. Aside, you also take excellent pictures! Thank you for sharing and enjoy your new goodies!

Hermes does have a way of luring you into spending all your cash so that your wallet is completely empty but don’t worry.... you will recover and find your way back to Hermes to empty it again... and again.... this the circle of Hermes lovers life. So this journey continues. I still need a pouch get my stuff organized. I see a Tohubohu but these are way to big, too long. So I leave the Hermes store with my head spinning and into the RAIN . But other designer stores are all around me. So a quick stop into the Vuitton store yields this. I've never had my keys in any kind of pouch, just on a key ring but I figure why not? I know this is not Hermes but the story continues, its all the same day:

I love the dark red interior and red button. It works great although one of my car key fobs really does not fit and there is no way the bigger key fob fits. Its bigger than the case! Why don't they make key cases to accommodate car key fobs? Its not 1985 anymore But it works fine for the plain metals keys.

So now its back out of the city, out of the maze of parking, back into the rain and traffic, and get home, only to realize - no pouch. I had done some research and there are MANY good reviews of the Vuitton Mini Pouchette and I was just in a store. Vuitton stores grow on trees. My hub calls one at a mall and they say they have one. Back to the car, in the rain, in rush hour traffic, another long, long drive only to get to the mall and ... its in a color I hate and they only one they had. No problem, they sell them online. Right? Wrong. They are out of stock online.

Calling the company the next day I find out they will be out of stock, online, until the factory catches up on backorders because its too popular. I can understand why. Considering the prices in the Hermes store, its like they give these away, which is silly because its still fairly expensive. SO its BACK into the car, in the rain, for another long drive. Yes, they do have a Pochette, looks like the last one. A quick purchase and BACK driving in the rain for another long ride. I owe Hub big time

And to get perspective on size ...

I can totally understand why the mini Pouchette is so popular. Its a perfect small size. Now to put everything together. So what's in the bag? This:

From 12:00 and clockwise, Key pouch, wallet, Sunglasses, iPhone, raincoat for the bag (I'll come back to that subject), mini Pouchette and key that won't fit on the keychain. And this is it all together.

Now to try this all out in real life ... Let's go out.

Finally the rain stopped. I read in the “reveal” thread that some people wanted to see pictures of bags in natural light rather than artificial light indoors. So, my Hub took this picture in shade.

I know there is a thread on bags on car seats. So OK, so here is one of the car seat.

I like red. Rouge Casque is about a perfect match to the color of my car. Who knew?

And the thing is, I know it is a classic style that will never go out of style. I read the story Mr. Hermes created the original for his wife for traveling in a motor car. This website says it was the first purse with a zipper and its name meant Comet, a name derived from a Sports Car. I like Sports Cars and love my Comet!

I’m not used to having this much room. It’s great, but I quickly found out that the Vuitton items were WAY to dark in a black bag. I like things easily accessible, but it’s too dark in there. So I picked up an off white case for the iPhone. Now it’s much easier to pick things out.

Now that I got that all sorted out, and the rain has ended, let’s do lunch.

That was possibly one of the most enjoyable reveals I have ever read. It was a journey indeed and as I read of how it began, what you were hunting for and how you and your husband took the time to truly research this so it would be the perfect match for you, I actually felt as if I were reading an enchanting fairy tale. I loved the feeling of anticipation, it was gloriously exciting since I could almost feel your own appreciation of what spending such a large sum of money meant. As someone who adores bags but has never yet dipped a toe in the Hermes ocean I can completely understand a) one does indeed need to think long and hard before spending such a large amount on a bag and b) the joy of spinning it out like a yarn being related by a storyteller of yester years. It was so sweet how you and your husband were in this together and I hope you wear your beautiful possessions for many years to come in health and happiness. And no need for apologies my dear your shopping, your reveal, your choice how you wish to reveal it.

So wallets. I mentioned I wanted a new wallet. I dislike the long wallets. They take too much space. I looked online at some of the Hermes wallets and some were just weird, like the Passant. To me, that was WAY to complicated to deal with. I like simple and functional, quickly open it and done. Envelope wallets? I have no idea what those are. I did see a pink Compact Bearn that was online for about a week and disappeared. That looked reasonable in size. At this point I had about given up on the Hermes wallets and was willing to settle for a Vuitton compact wallet. From many reviews on line, it seems their quality was respected.

In the store I saw a Compact Bearn and the leather just seemed "thin"? I'm not sure how to describe it but I didn't like it. So I was ready to leave but there was a Compact Constance up in the display. The very nice sales lady went to retrieve the colors.

I LOVE RED. Well this worked out. It was the PERFECT size and had a zipper for the coins and closes fine. I LOVE IT!!! OK, I could have bought a lifetime supply of Vuitton wallets for the cost of this but I figure this will last my lifetime.

And my new wallet in Rose Casque

For me, its the perfect size. The only complaint I might have is the billfold area is not a true billfold in that the cash has to be folded making it thicker. But since I know longer have any cash, it doesn't really matter

One good thing is the slot on the back side is good for a temporary place to store receipts. So together, its red and black. The wallet is easy to see when in the bag and I like that.

My day was not over, now I need to put it all together and make sure it all fits. The journey continues ...
