Beautiful classic bag! I absolutely love the wallet and the LVs are so cute and practical. Thank you for sharing your story!

The LV's I picked out are nice and small, so it leaves me with lots for extra space in my Bolide 31 bag. The mini pochette fits all my small items, as well as, a pen. The key chain is easily accessible from my bag and works like a charm opening my front door. The wallet is amazing how everything fits and it closes not being stuffed. And as for my Bolide, I am in:love: !

:hbeat:Thank you for stopping by and saying hello :flowers:

Gorgeous bag!

Awww thank you so much

That was possibly one of the most enjoyable reveals I have ever read. It was a journey indeed and as I read of how it began, what you were hunting for and how you and your husband took the time to truly research this so it would be the perfect match for you, I actually felt as if I were reading an enchanting fairy tale. I loved the feeling of anticipation, it was gloriously exciting since I could almost feel your own appreciation of what spending such a large sum of money meant. As someone who adores bags but has never yet dipped a toe in the Hermes ocean I can completely understand a) one does indeed need to think long and hard before spending such a large amount on a bag and b) the joy of spinning it out like a yarn being related by a storyteller of yester years. It was so sweet how you and your husband were in this together and I hope you wear your beautiful possessions for many years to come in health and happiness. And no need for apologies my dear  your shopping, your reveal, your choice how you wish to reveal it.

:blush::love::blush::blush: And your post to me was probably one of the most sweetest, thoughtful, most gracious post I ever received :hbeat:

You are so sweet mentioning it was like reading a fairy tale
I will have to give my Hubby another :hugs:he is the best.

A big thank you and :hugs:is sent to you today

Really appreciate your kind words and I thank you kindly

Beautiful wallet color - The whole work up is very pretty with the twillies. Glad you are having fun!

Thank you so much for your kindness and for coming on my special journey with me :hbeat: The twillies are such fun when you are taking her to dinner, as she sits down on her own chair as I admire her

The wallet is awesome
I agree, it is the perfect Hermes bag - Love the easy access opening the bag - its two handles and the zipper and of course it has a nice detachable leather shoulder strap.
Thank you so much for your sweet reply

So let’s do lunch. We decided to do a late lunch, the time frame between a true lunch and supper (or dinner), something I call Spunch, around 3 PM. I quickly put on the Twillies and what happens? I snag one with a ring. My hub thinks they are a waste but what do men know? He thinks they are totally impractical for normal use and now the first thing I do on the first day is snag one.

So we are sitting in a chain restaurant, nothing fancy, just family food. I always place my bag on a chair or hang it from a chair. As my Hubby is waiting for the food, he looks at her, and says “Hmm, I’m getting use to the bling. It’s OK”. Who knew? I’m used to it too already. This is all new to me.

So the next time I had the purse out I went to touch the handle and my hand slid against the Twilly and, barely touching it with a bracelet, another snag. :wtf:

Later that night, my hub says he’s already used to the twilly being on there, just leave them. A couple of days later its off to lunch again, another Spunch in Nordstroms. Not a bad place for lunch. Now I am used to this all. That was fast.

This is what I had for Spunch, Chinese Chicken Salad. It was delicious.

I have taken pictures of food I cooked but my love in photography is wildlife like here https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/please-post-your-nature-and-wildlife-pictures-here.978087/ Food just sits there, hopefully, and doesn't move. Birds move, a lot. But if my food starts moving, I'm out of there.

OK, I’m used to the bag. I LOVE the bag. It’s perfect for me.

Do you remove your rings when you put the Twillies on your bag handles?

And how often do these Twillies need to be dry cleaned?

I wouldn't worry about the snags in the twillies. I buy them to use them, not to worry about what can/could happen to them. I have many twillies that I enjoy coordinating with the clothes I am wearing.

Now I have a question and its about rain. This website gives dire warnings about clemence leather and water basically saying terrible blisters can happen, dry immediately. Another website says the same thing - water can lead to blisters. Third website and it gives the same warning. Here is the raincoat that came with the bag

i-nVt3pQr-L.jpg

I think there are two plastic bags in there. They are short and do NOT cover the handles. The bag weighs 4.8 oz. It looks like this. Its too short!

And here it is on the floor

i-gCsrH5L-L.jpg

The handles are exposed! Bad. If I pull them to cover the handles, its too short.

Now lets go back to this picture

i-8ZW6hJG-L.jpg

Look at that black rectangle at 7PM It says Urban Disguise 70 Pro. That is the rain protection pouch, a pouch that comes with every Think Tank Camera Bag (and is detachable). It weighs 3.1 oz but is more bulky than the Hermes Plastic.

We DO get major thunderstorms and I CAN be caught out going from building to car in a huge downpour. That rain protection could protect, and I have 100% confidence in it, $20K in Camera Equipment in a big bag. So, this is how it looks

i-pwRcgBM-XL.jpg

It sort of looks like a garbage bag but its actually fully enclosed, serious rain protection and I added Velcro to the bottom to completely seal from gusts of rain blowing upward from the bottom.

So ladies, what do you think? I CAN be caught in serious thunderstorms and would need to carry something. I also have to believe the warning about Clemence Leather. The real rain protection weighs 65% of the Hermes plastic but is a bit bulkier. I have 100% belief the bulkier protections gives full protection from the rain but not so sure about the Hermes raincoat, which is heavier but does not cover the handles or bottom, depending if the handles are covered.

Opinions? Is the Urban Design raincoat Overkill? Or am I right to be cautious?

Below is just my personal opinion and what I would do but you have to do what makes 'you' the most comfortable. It's 'your' handbag, not mine and no one else

Your bag is clemence leather, all leather and is black. My only concern would be the twillies getting wet but if they did, I would just buy new ones. I love to buy twillies because they are fun. In saying that, I would only use the Hermes raincoat. Now go back and read my first paragraph

Thank you so much for your personal honest thoughts. That is what I am looking for.

I would rather only carry the Hermes rain jacket so I would have more room in my bag. But I don’t want anything to happen to the Clemence leather on my bag, as well as it’s leather handles. Sorry, I only showed pictures with it’s twilles on but I probably will be using my bag without twillies more than with them.

Won’t the color dye on twilly when wet bleed on its leather handles?

The twilly getting damaged is not my big worry, it’s my bags handles. Also with the Hermes raincoat on it, does it guarantee not to damage the leather?

I want to do what is best for my bag. I would be so very upset :crybaby:if the rain damaged it’s leather.

Has anyone here got rain on their Clemence Leather bag? Any damage on the leather? With Hermes rain jacket on or without it on? Did the rain jacket have its handles sticking out when in the rain?
