Would you wear your Love bracelets to Europe?

I think it is not a good idea to take the screwdriver on a flight - is that allowed??? - but I had a better idea which I mentioned here already: I took a penny and rasped the edges so that I can use it to open the bracelets if needed but luckily this never was the case so far.
When I purchased my Loves on vacation I brought all of the boxes, screwdrivers, packaging etc on with me on the flight in my carry on and I was never stopped for it. I’m wondering if they confiscate it if Cartier would give you another one complimentary.

I’ve bring my love screwdriver with me whenever I am on holiday for emergencies etc and never been stopped at security (It’s in my carry on). I didn’t even think this would be banned…
I’ve actually been stopped at security for having the bracelet on and been asked to removed but I explain the situation (that I can’t take off) and they just let me through all the time/ go through another metal detector

It seems to me that if you are going to be worried about something you are wearing or carrying, you will not enjoy yourself as much. If you are a worrier, leave it all home. You can live without your bracelets for a couple of weeks, rather than the time it will take to deal with them being stolen (police reports, insurance claims, and just aggro).

When I travel within the US, security is used to the bracelets and just tell me to put my hand around them and go through. Works.

I’m curious about those who have had items stolen from your hotel rooms, did you have the do not disturb sign or light on for your room? That’s the first thing I do when I check in anywhere and I also tell them at the front desk when checking in as well. Of course, I will never truly know if they respect it when I’m not in the room. A clean room is never more important to me than strangers in my private space with potentially expensive items around.

My family had items stolen when in Parisian hotels. I did have a pair of CZ studs stolen out of the room when in Cabo. Guess the joke was on whoever took them.

I love my belongings way more than daily housekeeping. I always put on the Do Not Clean sign and lock all of my semi-valuable belongings in my luggage with a lock before I leave for the day. I unpack toiletries, dresses and clothes but anything I would feel upset over being stolen gets locked.

I didn’t think about adding a nannycam to the hotel room until someone on tpf suggested it, but I will be doing so from now on (works out for me since our baby is almost here!)

I would never take off my bracelets with a pen knife!

I have 3 loves and a JUC, and I never take them off. I ask to go through the imaging rather than the metal detector at the airport.

She did. They told her she had to take them off. I think they wanted to image them for some reason but I’m not sure. I couldn’t stay to watch what ultimately happened. She was crying they were angry, it wasn’t a good scene
