I think people should buy what they want and what they can afford. If you can buy new, then that is what I would do.

For me, I have a thing about "germs." It would bother me not knowing what someone else carried in their bag or if they put it on the floor of a public bathroom. That might sound silly, but I can't help myself from thinking about that kind of stuff. :smile1:

I'm so anal (a Leo),:nuts: I only have brand new bags. However, I'm very thankful for those who are willing to purchase a slighly used bag; as I've sold several on Ebay. (Those I've sold, each and every buyer has been estatic with the condition.) Not everyone can afford to purchase new bags. If it is a LE or discontinued bag, I would definitely consider purchasing a second hand bag, depending on the condition.:yes:

All of my bags were bought new. However, I would buy used only from tpf marketplace. I assume that we all love our bags and treat them well. I purchased from ebay in the past but I just couldn't love those bags so I sold them.

I have no problem buying a used bag as long as it's in good condition.

If it's a bag that I could get brand new for only a couple hundred dollars more then I just go buy it brand new though.

I did buy a Chanel used for $1,400 less than it would have cost me in the store and it was in almost new condition...to me that's worth it...$1,400 is a whole other bag!!

i like the 3 of them equally bcos they're completely 3 different bags of different prints. since i'm only 1.7m tall and slender so 25 is just nice for me. usually, i only put my MC eugenie wallet, mobile, tissue papers and keyholder inside my bag so 25 is big enough for me. :tup:

if you go for elegant then damier ebony is nice bcos of the red color interior lining. if you cant decide just like me then buy the 3 of them. ha! :smile1:

Thank you:smile1: I agree with you I prefer brand new bags. I believe in the energy of the people. And this holds me from buying use articles beacuse I don't know the owner. Now if is from a close friend or relative in that case I might consider:p

I would and have. If the item is in great condition and I can save a few hundred dollars, why not? Plus then if it gets a spot on it I won't flip out as much.

I also love the idea of giving a bag that someone doesn't want anymore a new home! :)

i never thought i would. i love getting a brand new bag. and i was always afraid of getting ripped off.

but recently i started to fall in love with a gold dentelle speedy and decided i had to have one. i bought it "pre-loved" and it's in great condition. i love it!

so, would i do it again? depends on the bag: the shape it's in (i want it in mint condition), the price and can i find it new and still afford it?

Yes...if the person is like me an keeps their bags in immpecable condition...why not...it would have to look almost brandnew...I would not buy a dirty beater bag...ickkky....I take super good care of my handbags...they are an investment in style...I am super picky and I imagine many others are the same way...be picky when buying 2nd hand is my advice...GL

OP - isn't that a generalization on the condition of all 2nd hand bags ? Not all are used to the point that they become as you have likened them. It is possible that a first owner may have never used the bag at all ! :yes:

I would, as I've bought some other brands as pre-owned, and was usually happy, but only in "Like New" condition (used a few times) and with NO smell. :yes:
