Most of my LV bags are pre-loved and I have no problem with it at all! There's no way I'm going to find any new CB items (My fav. line) without paying double retail price since it's LE. (and you have to get them off of evil bay anyway) I'm happy with what I have and have no problem with someone else using a bag before me. I've saved so much money by buying preloved bags. And most of the time, they look brand spankin' new!

Have & would again! Sadly, my budget doesn't always allow for brand new bags!:crybaby:I try to buy them in good shape & hopefully odor-free (sometimes you don't know until you get them), but there are plenty out there that are fine. People just get bored with them & sell them!

You do what you gotta do, right?

-If it's something that I can buy at the LV boutique currently, then NO. I'd rather buy new if it's readily available.

-If it's something that has been discontinued and impossible to find any other way (LE, or retired models or colors), then YES but only if it's in never-used or excellent/near-new condition. I'm lucky to have picked up a few items this way when I thought I had missed my opportunity. For me, it's less about the bargain price and more about getting the items I like (getting them at less than full retail price is a side benefit!).

I have purchased used one before b/c it was in excellent condition, no stains or scratches , looked & smelled brand new. Original owner didn't use it , I suppose. And I will prabably buy again in that condition.

I voted No only because I am scared of fakes. I search ebay for LV but when it comes right down to it, I just can't bid. I'm so afraid I will get screwed over!

If I knew the person selling the LV and new for sure it was real and that they wouldn't pull some sort of switch than I would buy!

I LVOE the smell and feel of a brand new Louie. My two original bags (Speedy and Keepall) were from the boutique. I am also a germiphobe, like many of you.
But I took a chance with an EBay seller I trusted, and got an almost perfect (yet used) Babylone. The vachetta had just started to turn, canvas and inside were mint.

Saving some cash felt good, too.
But if I wanted a newer style bag, I'd get it from the LV boutique, and enjoy the peace of mind that it is new, and mine alone.
Unless someone else had bought and returned it. Eeeewwww. Then, it is a used bag, isn't it.

What is LV policy? If you return a bag, do they resell it or send it back to the factory?
