A lot of people on this forum seem to think that it's AMAZING, but I've been twice, and only came back purchasing something once. I looked into a few of the higher end stores (Chanel, Balenciaga, etc) and they seemed.... empty? I like Saks off 5th, but they have those a lot of places.... I also liked the Diane Von Furstenberg and Tory Burch stores. The DVF store had some pretty good deals in the sale section....
To answer your question, I think its similar to other "premium outlets" but I also don't spend a lot of money on high end things so if I had more money, it might be worth it....

if you're wondering about any specific store, it's only about 1 hour away from me, and i just went last tuesday, so i can remember a lot....

I went there once and I found a few things, but not that much, and it was several hours of driving from where I live. If anything, I love the Tahari outlet and the Movado Company store there. I think it depends on what items/brands you're looking for.

It's always hit or miss for me. Sometimes I find great deals and there's a wide assortment of merchandise in the stores, and then other times I'm very disappointed that I wasted my time (without heavy traffic, it's about a 50 minute drive from NYC).

Hi louislover! I remember you from the Coach forum!

Chiming in here to say that I've been to Woodbury once and was quite disappointed. It may have been the time I went (mid August) so everything could've been picked through on July 4th weekend and they didn't get new stock in. It's a famous outlet because of the vast number of stores and shops and as others said, hit and miss.

Of course if you are in NYC, you should go, you may be lucky!

i think it's a hit or miss... i went twice... the 1st time i found nothing, 2nd time i found a few things. i have to say though, that there's LOTS to see... even though i didn't find a lot of things, it was entertaining.

Hi! I go to Woodbury about once a season. I have never left emptyhanded - but i also can't turn down a good deal! I wouldn't make a special trip - there is too much variance in the stock. You might end up planing a trip while the stock is low.

If you are in the area it is totally worth it. I have found some really great deals on last season's bags at some of the Premium Designers there: YSL, Gucci, Balenciaga... Ferragamo is also a gem.

I wouldn't get on a plane just to go there.

BUT: If you want to plan an all out Tri-State area shopping outlet spree - there are a few large outlets in the area - maybe a special trip might be worth it. It's a numbers game really - you may have to try the outlets a few times before you find something great!

Good Luck.

OT - this woodbury talk reminds me of the Y-mail YSL clutch that I have yet to carry that I found at the outlets a few months back!!:choochoo:

went last weekend. complete waste of time. the chanel store had NOTHING in it. you think i'm exaggerating.. literally, it had like two gloves and a fugly scarf. there is one display case in the room, and no other products... gucci was also pretty disappointing. there were very, very few bags (all ugly), and few other way past-season goods. same deal with balenciaga, ysl, fendi, dior etc, etc..we went to most of them. all i bought that day was a cup of starbucks (took 20min btw). it also took 30min to find parking..

i will say that the burberry and juicy couture outlets were pretty decent though=)

the president's day sale starts on feb 18th, unfortunately i have an exam on that day =( can't skip so i wonder if i go to woodbury at around 3ish or later on the 18th or even in the morning on the 19th, would all the nice stuff be gone by then ? anyone have experienced president's day sale before ?please share=)

hi tfp-ers

i'll be heading in NY in may, really excited!!:yahoo:

would like to check what discount/ vouchers/ coupon books i can pick up before heading there? or are they only available at the outlet itself?
