oh, i'm not a photo-posting gal. :shrugs:
but, having been bitten by the bug, i'm wondering if anyone knows what the "khaki" color is on the bal/british website? i don't want the current khaki color, but this one looks like it might be an older color??

Oh that is a great color from the Fall/Winter 09 jackets. It is more of a brown with green/olive undertones. There are a bunch of pictures of lovely ladies modeling their jackets in this color on this thread. I believe that Pilates and ehemelay both have this jacket. I have been thinking about getting this color as well. I have the black with bronze zippers you just got. :smile1:

I think the Khaki on the British website is a 1020, any experts out there?
I love the Fall 09 Khaki, it is very thick leather and really vintage-y.
It is very distressed and will show scratches easily, but this is part of the charm/style.

Patti, where did you find an 09 Khkai? What size is it? I am surprised they are still around, or is this an old photo?

Hmm, when I looked at the British website the other day they had both the 2009 Khaki and the 2010 Khaki. There were two different pictures you could click on to get to 2009 jackets vs. 2010. I think they had some beige, khaki, and havana in 2009 jackets.

The jacket in my pic was available and I am looking at it on consignment from Bal South Coast Plaza.:graucho: It should be here some time next week. I had emailed Steve a couple weeks ago to ask if he had any 2009 jackets. He had this one in a 42 and said he could also get a beige in if I wanted that one too. I finally checked in with him today and he still had it (he had actually been off for a few days and had put it aside for me...very nice). From the picture, the leather looks really nice and he said the back is good...no stretch marks etc. I'm hoping I like the fit! I know I did not like the 40 in the 2009 jacket I tried before, but in the 2010 the 42 is slightly loose so I am hoping it is slightly more fitted in the 2009. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! Not that I need 2 jackets, but I just have to see it in person. I can't stop thinking about it! The other night, I woke up a couple of times and was immediately thinking, "Yes, I am going to call Steve about the Khaki jacket...LOL." My 2010 black is just the most amazing soft beautiful leather, but I am attracted to the distressed, heavier leather on the 2009 jackets. We'll see how those larger lapels and the 42 look on me! I may be asking for your advice late next week. ;)

I bet the 42 will be perfect.....my size 40 2009 Khaki is VERY fitted, and the 2008 Black 42 fits as well, but is slightly looser.
If you want to layer, and want a slightly roomier fit, the 42 is for you!
You will LOVE the 2009 leather!
I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Here is a picture of Fall 09 Khaki that I got from my Bal SA recently. Hope this helps.
My 2009 Khaki is darker than your photo, and less smooth. The one in your photo looks like 2010 Khaki to me which is more of an Army green.
2009 Khaki is the first jacket in the photo that I attached.

yes, totally addicting. i've been lecturing myself. :lecture:patti, your color is beautiful, but tmitch, your khaki color is the one i'm looking for! brownish khaki. so that's 09? i'm going to have to call some bal stores in the states before resorting to london. i mean, i'll be in london in a few months, but i'm sure by then the jackets will be gone. does anyone have an SA in london, though?

^^^^ Sorry, tried to attach pattijewels photo.....

I am also thinking this MIGHT be the 2010 color that is also called Khaki....?
As TMitch said, the 2010 Khaki is a real Olive Green, Bill from Bal NY said it was the color of the old-timey plastic Army men, or a Green Spanish Olive.

i tried on the 2010 Khaki today, imo, it's a gorgeous, smooth, soft, khaki green, there was only the tiniest hint of distressing (underneath the sleeves), i loved it but they only had a 38 (UK 10). although i'm a 34 DD i have such a narrow back & shoulders, the 38 was def too big on the shoulders. as with all leather garments & as i discovered with my Grey, this jkt gives quite a bit, i would def order the 36. the lighting in the dressing room was quite dark, the first pic was taken in better lighting & is colour accurate.

Do you guys think this is the color of the jacket in pattijewels photo?
The zipper fabric in patti's pic looks darker than this one, but the jacket in the photo does look light for an 09 Khaki, now that I have looked at 09 Khaki photos.....mine is definitely a dark brown....
