and it's definitely the color khaki that i want in a 40.

i saw the 2010 khaki at barneys. it does look exactly like the green on army toy figures.very smooth and very soft; no distressing. very pretty, but didn't look good on me.

Do you guys think this is the color of the jacket in pattijewels photo?
The zipper fabric in patti's pic looks darker than this one, but the jacket in the photo does look light for an 09 Khaki, now that I have looked at 09 Khaki photos.....mine is definitely a dark brown....

My 2009 Khaki is the same as yours Leslie. Pattijewels looks like the 2010 Khakis that I've seen, but her zipper tape does look different. But I still don't think her photo is of 2009 Khaki. At least not the 2009 that I have.

I am attaching a picture of the 2009 and the 2010 khaki here because my SA had both to make sure we were both talking about the same thing. As you can see the colors look very close in these two pictures, but we know that they are not. The 2009 is definitely more in the brown family and the 2010 is like an army green. This particular 2010 actually has more texture than they usually do...they always seem so smooth when I have seen pictures, but the 2009's are generally more textured and thicker. You can also tell by the lapel size and the zipper tape that it is a 2009 and not a 2010. I hope this clears things up a bit. I am looking forward to seeing the 2009 and trying it on.

My 2009 Khaki is darker than your photo, and less smooth. The one in your photo looks like 2010 Khaki to me which is more of an Army green.
2009 Khaki is the first jacket in the photo that I attached.

That's what I'm hoping. My issue with the 2009 40 was really the arms so I think the 42 will be better and hopefully not look too bulky.

I bet the 42 will be perfect.....my size 40 2009 Khaki is VERY fitted, and the 2008 Black 42 fits as well, but is slightly looser.
If you want to layer, and want a slightly roomier fit, the 42 is for you!
You will LOVE the 2009 leather!
I can't wait to hear what you think of it!

It is probably just the lighting. Bal Boutiques seem to have such terrible lighting for photos that things tend to look very off. You definitely have two different jackets there and you are right that the zipper tape and lapels tell the difference. Can't wait to see your jacket.

In this picture you posted from the bal website, it looks a lot like Biscuit from previous seasons which I would LOVE, but I saw another picture where it looked really yellow. The 2010 leathers are just so much smoother too, but in the bal.com picture it has some texture. Anyway, I wish I could see it live or see more modeling pictures. There are a few on this thread...

I know. I want one that looks like Biscuit too! But the colors in the photos are just all over the place. Every time I get one, it looks different.

Whoa, that is amazing!
The lighting really makes the two jackets look exactly the same color, except for the zipper tape!
Just goes to show, you have GOT to see these colors IRL !

Here is our own "fashionistas on the street" bal shots of tPF girls kicking up their heels in Chicago.
