Why do you take your jewelry off when you get home?

I have an RHR that I never take off. Usually I will wear stud earrings, a watch or Hermes bangle, and perhaps a necklace. Those usually come off when I get home. The watch/bracelet come off because I cook a lot and don't want to get them wet, the earrings come off if I am going to take a nap, otherwise I take them off when I go to bed, the necklace comes off when I change into my sweats which is usually right when I get home. If it's just a small pendant I might leave it on, but only my gold pendants. Any sterling, lockets, etc come off because I don't want to risk forgetting and hopping in the shower with them.

I take my watch and bracelet off because they bug me if I'm on my laptop (clink clink clink scraaaape). I never take my earrings off because I'm too lazy. I have four curved barbells, one CBR, and one barbell (Got my industrial pierced back in Feb!) and they take waaaay too long to take out, plus I can't take the barbell out for a few months.

I don't take stuff off until I'm getting into my PJs ready for bed - then I take it all off and put it on a small tray in my bathroom. I'm a bit of a featherhead at times and I need a regular 'spot' for my jewellery otherwise I would probably lose it!

I always leave my engagement ring on, even after I get home. I never take it off. I never take off my BF's gold pendant/ring necklace, either. If I wear earrings that day, I take them off before I shower and go to bed at night. The same with watches and bracelets. I take my anklets off and toe-rings off if I'm wearing any, before I shower, as well. After the shower, mainly if I'm anticipating relations, I'll put my anklet back on, maybe a toe ring, as the BF thinks lots of jewelry is "hot", especially on the feet. I don't wear anklets and toe rings frequently, though. Maybe one or two days per week.

I wear a uniform every day so I can't really laden myself with jewelry...as a result I really don't wear it when I am in civilian clothes either! dangit!!! I have some cute stuff...rarely wear it anymore :s So usually it is just my wedding ring, which never ever comes off!!!!

I take off all my jewelry, even my rings, as soon as I get home. I used to keep them on until a few diamonds from my rings fell off since I love doing housework. I enjoy cleaning my house everyday. Haha! So I learned my lesson the hard way. It also feels more comfortable with nothing on me.

I take everything off when I get home, including my wedding ring. I appreciatte the time "off", my ring is heavy for one, and it's just nice not having to worry about any of it!!

I take off my rings and watch just because it's more comfortable. If I get on the computer, a watch gets in the way. And I'm paranoid about being around the kitchen sink with my rings, so those come off as a "just in case."
