I like nice things and nice things tend to cost money. That said, paying a lot of money doesn't automatically equate to well made or stylish or pretty or luxurious. I've been lucky enough to get some great things at great prices too which means I always stay open to a cheaper alternative because you just might get something really fabulous.

I know it's not politically correct but I used to buy bags that cost thousands because I wanted to look fashion forward, high fashion forward, lol. Now I only buy bags that look nice with good quality.

most of the times I try to get the bags I like for less than retail, still super expensive but somehow satisfying - the search, the hunt, and at the end the amazing bag. not all of them are worth it but the process in itself is fun.

id rather spend thousands on 1 or 2 good bags that will last me forever and that i can resell and get most of my money back than thousands on 50 crappy purses that are going to break and have no resell value like most women seem to waste.

You pay for quality. It may hurt to pay for it at the time, but it'll last you much longer than a cheaper bag.

Just make sure the bag you buy is worth it. Some expensive bags are not manufactured well (at least not anymore) and you'll regret it later.

Because I buy what I like and sometimes, it costs a few dollars and sometimes it costs thousands.
I don't justify anything to anyone, as long as, I can live with my own decisions.

Like alot of other posters mentioned-- it make me so unreasonably happy to get a nice bag and then look at it afterwards. It still kind of hurts whenever I see that money getting taken out of bank account but in the end I still somehow justify it :amuse:
