Sometimes I can see where they are coming from......but most times...

Its all about their own need to complain.... Especially from close family and friends, they are trying to push their views and I totally get offended when they go on and on sometimes....

Now I close my ears to it and cut the coversation short. They just need to mind their own buisness!!

To be truthful, I'm really selfish.
I don't care about what other ppl say or think. If I want it I get it for myself.:nuts:
And... I don't care if my DH likes it or not, if he wants to get me a present, even if it's from LV, he needs my approval!!!!!!!

I have never had people attack me or my LV.
They'd definitely hear from me about something else...
Or.. they soon fall in love with it and join the dark side

This is a topic that always gets me going. If I make my money, then I can spend it how I see fit. I don't go to a girlfriend or "friend" and tell her how to spend her money, the action should be reciprocated. Whether or not they agree with the purchase is pretty irrelevant, If something makes you happy, whether that be a nice bag, a nice car, or a nice night on the town, you shouldn't be hassled for it.

One of the things I love to laugh at some people for is that think their opinion is gospel and everyone should follow what they have to say....Everyone has an opinion...

Plus every-time I hear someone rag on LV I inform them that many of the luggage pieces people used today were pioneered by that visionary man. The duffle for instance? If you research it, there are many Items we use we can thank Louis for...:supacool:

1..."oh nice bag!" <- this person doesn't care much...

2..."nice bag...how much was it?..." <- this person wants one and envys you...

3..."geez...let's see?...why did you get this ugly thing...how much was it...i don't understand you...crazy..." <- this person wants one, envys you, and wants one while the person doesnt want you to have one...

around here everyone is carrying expensive bags and the most expensive ones... i don't have enough $$ for a 3k LV bag... i'm jealous! haha i'd rather have 4 speedies... but yeah thats why i carry the right bag at the right places... the not so flashy black epi at places where everyone is not showing off thier bags... and my LE bags at places like holt renfrew... but my friends don't attack me cause they love and carry designer handbags tooo, i just have a few more than they do....

Interestingly enough....tonight I found some Finnish web page and someone posted the link to my Flickr account and people were commenting on my pictures of my pieces.
I don't know Finnish, but from what I translated, it was not very flattering, pretty much all bashing everything...so I deleted my Flickr account. UGH. Now I have to create a whole new slideshow using photobucket again...at least that's a little more private.

My first purchase was a beautiful Cabas Mezzo 1.5 years ago, and I used it for school a lot, but since september I'm at a new university and honestly haven't used my Cabas Mezzo yet, just regular 20 euros bags, and then use my Cabas Mezzo when I go to dinner with the boyfriend, or shopping, or going to my parents by train. Those negative reactions can really upset me, that's why.
Tomorrow I'll have to take my laptop to university so I told myself I HAVE to use my Cabas Mezzo for that, because I bought it to use for school in the first place anyway, and I feel guilty to my own wallet if I don't use it as much as I could.
But really, reading those negative reactions and also remembering the reactions I got myself just kinda withdraws me from wearing it to school. I feel ashamed admitting it :(. I recently purchased a Batignolles Vertical and I want to use that for school to but I first want my Cabas Mezzo to go out again hehe. But let's see how tomorrow goes :).

:roflmfao:yep.. I know. I hear this conversation several times. for me: that means.. " you think that you spend so much money for this bag but for me it is too cheap (lie) and I can get it whenever I want (lie). dont think that you are special.":nuts:

If a "friend" of mine ever thought I was crazy for my bag purchases, they don't really know me. I've been into bags since 11-12 years old. Friends and family don't question my purchases. A coworker once told me, "You can buy like that when you're single with no kids..."
I promptly replied, "And, I'd better be able to do it more when I'm married with kids if he wants a happy marriage."

hehe similar thing happened to my mom's friend too! She was saying how I buy "expensive purses that she'd never be able to afford", and then a few days later she tells my mom that her bed is 10 000$$$......... OKIE there! lol

You've got great bags..have no care and wear them with pride! And dont worry about those snarly glances from people..they just wish they were you! :tup:
