For the second time I'm not affiliated with Reebonz and Brandoff in any way. I just asking logic questions here. And dont ask me here more personal questions related with my job.
Hate to break it to you but, discounting the 18 posts about TV, movies and other hobbies, you've posted explicitly once that you are an authenticator and implied numerous times that you are giving your opinion as an authenticator. That is only going to encourage members to ask about your job.

If you are an authenticator whom H respects, perhaps you could do us all a favour and ask them to expedite the letter?

I agree. All the items I bought from Japan which were sent via EMS arrived within three days. I am also located in Australia.
The bag is from Hong Kong not from Japan. He purchased the bag in 26/12/17 which is Sunday. The bag is shipped from Hong Kong in Monday 27/12/17 the first working day in best case and in Wednesday was dropped already in the Hermes store ( less three days). From the Hong Kong during christmas is significantly slower.
Also I'm not sure for that but I think Reebonz policy is to inspect the bag personally before the client get it and in that case this wiil add some days more. In the listing delivery time frame is 6-10 days..

I know. My point was that EMS is efficient.
Ems Hong Kong has nothing to do with EMS Japan and is slower. Also OP didn't give information with which courier he received it and whether the package gone first to Reebonz.... etc. With the time frame in the listing 6-10 days he got in two days and half ( in the best scenario) and without enjoying of his purchase of thousands of dollars drop it right away in Hermes.

I think it’s also pretty apparent from this member’s posts that she is partial to conspiracy theories despite being unable to substantiate them so it’s pretty much useless to respond to her. Unless you guys want to continue watching a show lol

can we just delete this thread? :confused1: and have the OP make a new one when H sends him the letter

i don't care to be getting notifications on a thread where members remain skeptical :hrmm:and interject their opinions. it must be hard for some of you to be going back and forth between arguments with strangers online. it won't matter in the end. and for everyone else, bless you for showing support for others :hugs:

I don't think that just because you think the Birkin is authentic, you're automatically affiliated with Reebonz, but are you a Hermes authenticator? Do you think that the Birkin is authentic based on the pictures? Are you doubting Hermes (who says that the bag is fake), or the OP?

It's too bad this bag hasn't been authenticated by Bababebi, as I'd love to hear her take on this bag.

I didn't said it is authentic and I will not for the reasons explained back in my posts. There are no indications for fake bag from the pictures available in the listing. Only if the bag is high quality counterfeit that will not be discovered based on pictures in the listing. The chances for that are very low because of reasons which I can't comment here.

You ask me : Are you doubting Hermes (who says that the bag is fake) ? ....There are no proof until now that Hermes said the bag is fake and especially if they said it is for the same bag from the listing. Whether I have reasons to doubt in Hermes in general ...yes I have many reasons and Hermes authenticators know that...... All the times scammers who know the bag is fake bring it to Hermes store trying to obtain receipt from Hermes Spa which allow them to sell it as authentic bag and scam people and auction houses. Тhey often succeed. I have authenticated such bags and I keep pictures of Hermes Spa and repair receipts. I have dealt with many scenarios of scams including from buyer sides involving PayPal, Hermes and authorities.
Now I will stop to posting and will wait to see OP letter with pictures from Hermes as proof that the bag is fake and as proof is the same bag which he bring to them.

I'm loving the depth of analysis that some will go to in order to be right, including noting holidays and number of emails. What I don't love is how mean it is.
Despite the fact that OP will almost certainly get his money back (OP, did you use a credit card with any protection?), it is very scary to be scammed. I don't understand the wish to pick apart the story before we see any reason at all to doubt it. If the actual reseller wants to jump in and offer their side of the story - now that seems fair - but that hasn't happened yet as Monicca is "unaffiliated with Reebonz".

FWIW I have had plenty of shipments from HK that arrived within a couple days. I've also had emails from my Hermès SAs and from after-sales care on Sundays and holidays.

What is worth paying attention to is that this was a clearly used and much carried Birkin that went through a reseller. It certainly appears questionable to say the least and if counterfeit it is likely that the previous owner may not have been aware of this. This is how fakes end up "in the system".
When buying at resale it behooves us all to pay the nominal sum for an expert authenticator, by which I mean bababebi (I am not aware of an equivalent) and to use a payment method that offers long term protection (Amex Platinum: 90 days, Chase Sapphire and Amex Centurion: 120 days or more).

Thanks for being a voice of reason here.

As to how a fake ends up "in the system," I heard a somewhat reliable story of a fake being purchased at Hermes. The bag was a few years later sent to a reseller. If one believes this story, the only possible scenario I can think of is that a dishonest Hermes employee switched the real bag and a super fake. Owner of this bag owned many legit bags she had purchased from Hermes. Anything can happen because of the exorbitant prices of these bags. What a world we play in here.

Yep. Good point. It takes just one nefarious SA to infiltrate the store with counterfeits. I ve always wondered if Hermes has cameras in store to ensure that the real deal is not being swapped with counterfeits . Cos demand for these ever elusive bags can tempt even the most upright people to sell their soul
