You should address the seeming implausibility of this timescale.
Please don't ask me to explain what I mean.

Your message isn't clear but I assume you are implying doubt regarding the speed of delivery? It's not impossible. I've had an item delivered internationally in 2 days: hit BIN on Thursday morning, item shipped same day, arrived in my country on Friday, delivered to my home on Saturday morning. It was from a Japanese reseller chain similar to Brandoff.

OP, wishing you all the best that this is sorted out quickly.

Thanks. What I meant to ask is how are Reebonz and Brandoff related?

I can partially answer this. In my discussions with Reebonz so far it seems that they sell a number of things from Brand Off so perhaps Brand Off is a supplier of sorts because they said they contacted Brand Off regarding my bag and said they need documentation to forward to Brand Off to get them to refund them so that Reebonz can refund me. They also said they have had a relationship with Brand Off for many years and suggested if a dodgy item came from Brand Off they would review their relationship.

I told them I have no issue with forwarding documentation but my business transaction was with Reebonz and not Brand Off so I do not care whether Brand Off will refund Reebonz but once I forward the appropriate documentation I expect Reebonz to refund me. Reebonz can then deal with Brand Off themselves. I did not want Reebonz to use Brand Off as an excuse not to refund me.

In fact, Reebonz said that Brand Off asked them to ask me to get the bag back and I said this is not possible and Reebonz should be aware of this as I forwarded Reebonz the Hermes email stating the bag is 'not made by Hermes Paris' and the email also states the bag will not be returned.

I’m going to open my mouth again...I, for one, want to see how this all turns out. At the rate we are going this thread is going to be mothballed and not a single one of us are going to know the outcome. I’ve shot my mouth off early in the thread, and I should’ve waited until I had all the facts. I suggest we all sit back and keep it cute and civil until we hear the whole thing.

Sadly Hermes has confirmed it could take a few weeks for the letter to be delivered and they will email me once the letter has been dispatched. So far, I have not had an email confirming the letter has been sent. However, if you subscribe to this thread I will continue to update as things progress.

Quoting another member's experience does not address the issue of your credibility.

Enough of us have made international purchases to know that for goods to be bought, packed, passed to carriers, shipped, processed by export and import customs, duties paid, delivered within fours days would be very unlikely, especially during the Christmas period.
I did wonder if a digit had got transposed; clearly that was not the case.

Please remember I previously tried to counter the sceptics and I had hoped that a sensible response would have removed the doubts.

I disagree. There is no other reply to 'prove' what I said except those are the dates and I stand by them. I have not kept any packaging on which delivery stamps would be located. The other member is proof because it addresses your skepticism that somehow it is not possible for those timelines to occur when they have clearly had the same experience. If you want to be further paranoid you can question whether I have colluded with this other member to back me up. Additionally, you can doubt all you want but please do not mistake your doubt with some misinformed entitlement that I need to prove anything to you.

Edit: You also mistakenly use your experience and those of many others to claim it is unlikely for the delivery dates to be correct yet you discount the experience that other poster mentioned. You cannot have it both ways

I do not wish to engage in public spat, but I will address the points you directed at me.

I am not paranoid; the thought of collusion between you and the other poster had not crossed my mind; you do not need to prove anything to me, therefore I have no sense of entitlement.

I see the point of your argument about not being able to have it both ways; however we don't know if the other poster's experience involved a postal packet or a parcel the size of a Birkin.

The whole story sounds off to me without any proof. Also after so long time passed I doubt any proof will be reliable. There are many fake Birkin bags in color Gold and anyone can bring fake bag in the same color to Hermes store. In the link which you gave it there are no enough pictures the bag to be authenticated properly from any authenticator but indications are for authentic bag and nothing points to replica item.
This is relentless and useless for anyone to accuse this person of an "off sounding story"... what makes you an expert? my gosh! This person apparently got scammed and wants to make us aware of this company, btw OP thank you for that! I've been a member here since the beginning, and I rarely post anymore because of how negative things can get all too often these days, no reason to try to kick this person while they are already down/upset about an unfortunate situation and is seemingly at the very least trying to spare someone else from the same. Just wow!

Thank you for your comments. When I started the thread I really didn't expect so much cynicism and I posted mainly to vent and share my anxiety, to warn others and hopefully receive advice if others have gone through the same thing. I literally posted the thread within a few hours of receiving the Hermes email.

The title of my thread is actually a question and I must say I'm surprised no one else has really said 'hey I got scammed with a fake birkin too' but I guess that's a good thing because I'm hoping my experience is extremely rare.

However, since all the comments have occurred part of me can't wait to prove the doubters wrong but the other part, the bigger part, actually wants to finish off the whole saga so that in a weird way it can restore the faith we have in each other as so many of us seem jaded these days.

So to all those who have supported me including many of you who have PM'd me thank you and I can promise you the full story will be complete and your trust will not be misplaced. I do, however, need to withhold some info till I get the refund but once this is done then the redacted emails, the repair contract and the hermes letter will be posted so others can learn the whole process. To count, Hermes and I have emailed back and forth 17 times now.

Once again, thank you for the support and your patience will definitely pay off!

Have read through this post and I’m amazed at the negative comments! I thought that this forum was about sharing our love of the H! I wouldn’t understand why anyone would make all this up, and then keep coming back to defend themselves. Falling foul of a fake is easily done and could happen to anyone. OP I hope that this is resolved in your favour. Sending orange hugs!

I believe "PJW5813" and most of us are neutral, and will totally support OP once he uploads the hardcopy letter from Hermes. Also appreciate sharing the experience here as well.
