So many great comments and silks being posted! I will catch up later in the week with comments and thanks, but hannahsophia - what a marvelous new silk - I adore those shells! Congrats!

Yesterday was the first day of spring and I want to wish you all a wonderful week in welcoming my favorite season of the year. It was overcast and rain threatened, but I managed to tuck in one of my Lost Ones - my term for the silks I need to bring out more. It is more red than any other color, and one of my happiest Bay transactions that I have experienced. A completely unexpected and beautiful silk of firework colors! Feux du Ciel by Kwumi Seredin.

Wowza! What a veritable smorgasbord of silk to feast on!
Textile: I hate going silkless. Even as a newbie I am finding that a day without a scarf is not as good as a day with one. I am sorry to hear, my dear friend, that you sided with my husband about Gooble and Gooble. They are so adorable and still in the serviceporch with the dirty clothes. Great combination, huh?
Maedi, my sweet, I know nothing about turkies except they are adorable and I hope they run to me as grown ups when I call out, "here, Gobble Gobble..." Tango, I too am entertained easily--your scarf on dress image is hilarious to me.
Lanit: the red Pegasus is TDF. I adore how the drape of the white wing, surrounded by red frames the scarf--and then on the white blouse--I gasped.
Euridice: I love mousses and your Nuees is fabulous. I too am wearing my red mousse, Axis Mundi today--will share.
Tango: You make me stinkin' laugh. I have never seen a Monty Python movie; however, I have a colleague named Monty, and have held a big ole Python before--does that count? I don't know if I will get British humor as I am really lame when it comes to getting jokes--obtuse is me! I didn't even know what funny VnSoie was talking about. I thought she was appropriately slamming me for all the animal information. Also, I love your your Hola Flamenca scarf on you. As I get to know the scarfies, many scarves instantly "become" people. This is YOU in your dancing shoes.

Poomba: I adore you look with the open neckline and the knotted scarf, flowing hair. Lovely.
Hermesguy: you are king of the ascot! Very handsome look.
Micheldietlin--You continue to rock the doubles. Your casual linen with silk look is what I am all about and I aspire to present myself as cool-ly as you! Love the browns/neutrals paired with the grey linen.
RoseUSA: your Cavaliers d'Or is breathtaking. I have yet to buy a "horse-y" scarf but this is tremendously regal!
Sophieg and Bienchen: What a charming knot! Adore the silk flower on the neck--I could not pull this off but you ladies rock it!
Hannahsophia: I am so happy to see the shell scarf. I saw it online and knew it would be lovely--great cw on you!

And yes, Tango and other animal lovers, I would LOVE to be that blond bombshell on Green Acres from yesteryear and stay home to play with and nurture animals. Right now, I have from newest to oldest: Gooble and Gobble, baby turkies, 5 little chicks who are G and G's friends, three new baby goats that I am bottle feeding every three or 4 hours and who think I am "mama." They are two weeks old, the size of cats and the cutest things I have ever seen in my life, 3 white silkie chickens called the Muse, (I know I need nine but I'm working on it.), a gorgeous bantam rooster who attacks but it doesn't hurt named Godzilla--because he thinks he is, 6 adult-ish goats, one named Chevre-my love, a male pheasant, Phil and his crew of girls, originally 17 longhorns who have had 11 babies. I love them all, and the baby born on Christmas is called Jesus. You can hear me calling him, "Baby Jesus..." after work and it sounds like I am praying to the heavens, two African hedgehogs, two hybrid woves, and three cats--Chanitilly Lace, Song of Solomon, and Chocolate Chip. Bam. Done! Aren't you glad you asked my Tango?

Hermes Guy, Very dashing. I like this much much better than a traditional tie.

Essiedub, thank you for your gracious compliment and statement of "preference" for the ascot look. I believe your vote represents the "minority" view, but it's a surprisingly vocal minority. I admit to getting a kick out of those situations where a woman offers her compliment while her male companion (read: Texas alpha-husband) offers a smirk of condecension (as he wonders, did John's wife make him do this or is he...?)

John

And finally, my red contribution. I am wearing my Mousseline in Axis Mundi and the lightening was poop! So sad. Please friends, just imagine:

Loving everyone's scarves!!
The thread is moving too fast these days for me go back and comment individually - it would take hours. So my humble apologies.
Today airing Fleurs Indiennes with a new cashmere sweater. Not quite red! I have found this way of wearing a 90cm the most comfortable for me and also the best for keeping out of the way from my desk and anything that might catch on it, but it still shows off the scarf.

Hi! I will be back this evening to gawk and chat, but just stopping in to post my red for the day. This one has a distinct orange-ness to it, which surprised me when I saw it in person the first time. Wow! This is my third red in a row, I'm sticking to the theme real well this time!! :p

Oh wow, there are some beauties to comment on later, I can see that much!!

...he is comfortable and chic:graucho:
I've yet to meet a man that likes to wear a tie. Is alphaDH wearing a Cowboys jersey? :faint: Longhorn regalia? (unless one's going to or watching the game)

side note: I am so happy that the suit/dress pants with flip flop area has passed :yucky:(but I digress)

I think the men on this thread wear the scarves so well!:D

Lanit,
I have never seen this scarf before. It is really beautiful! It looks spectacular the way that you have tied it!

I'm working on commenting on the perfection I'm confronted with every time I hit refresh, but considering just how many fab contributions there are, I'm afraid I won't have a chance to respond before heading out to dance tonight.

In short, I'm adoring how this week is turning out. You all look marvelous.

I wore the best red scarf ever, De Passage a Tokyo, as a belt last night.
