Metoo dear. Why do you think I break the names down to one word or acronyms? LOL
I would love to have seen the black you tried on. What were the edges like? Plum has a beautiful green/burgundy one too, and I thought that was very unique. I wish we could know what the fall collection designs will be because I would rather buy just one cashmere GM too, and the rest the 140 silks.

the contrast hem on the black Bateaux is le orange. lots of H Gold thruout the GM. The sails could do with more pop of color but still a very wearable black GM.

which blue cw? there was more than one. mine is the cw in the scarfbook which made the border look black instead of kaki but it still sold out just the same. wish H would reissue it but they never did. the border is mostly clouds as u can see but I love, love the subject. who doesnt love Tang horses?

will not be showing ExLibenK (been done), Jonques (already did one and the rest are boring cws), Ballade Heian (done), Soie Volante (me no like cw) and Ive already been on record that I consider Turandot pseudo-asian theme.

marche flottant (thailand) - its one of those designs that look beautiful but doesnt tie well. when it first came out, i think i bought and returned every cw it came in. this is a reissue and it's still meh.

The one I think I lost in bidding was a deep blue on the edges, a lighter blue in the middle and the horses were a gorgeous mahogany color. That is all I remember. I should have saved the photos, but I was a newbie of scarves at that time and did not know what to bid. I see there are two on the bay now, and I have always loved the yellow one, but don't think that might work for me and is risky to try coming across the pond. I have never seen this silk in real life. So elusive. I did love the playfulness of the youngsters riding the ponies in the center. Perhaps I might come across it again sometime - who knows? The black Bateux - love to see the orange hems!

i think this is the cw u are referring to? it belongs to a tpfer. if so, no wonder u've been waiting for 5 yrs. it's one of the harder to find cws.

That is a good guess, Maedi, but no, (I do want to get the Songe de la Licorne, though.) I bought Photo Finish in 07. Vert Flour/ Rouge Vif. Really lots of different shades of green with a beautiful red racing horse in the middle. It also has pretty orange and blue hydra stripes throughout. I also bought an apple green colored caleche bangle PHW and some horn/lacquer earrings in green. (I have had green on the brain lately!) This Photo Finish was on my wish list, so I think this one and the new Annie Faivre will be my two for the season. I'll post the scarf as soon as the rain stops. Hopefully Friday will be a sunny day!

I technically am not "wearing this shawl today" but couldn't help but share my excitement! I am trying very very hard to stick to only 1 cw of any design (except my forever UHG Marwari) so it took me foreverrrrr to choose a cw in the CSMC design. I love the design but the cws are all very nice. So after I loaded up on shawls for the season, the cw to select for my last shawl in a long long time as I go on a shawl hiatus...CSMC... became quite obvious... as I have nothing in my collection in this color.... I also wanted a shawl to go with my Mais gator CDC... so like DUH....Cobalt!


Please forgive me that I am not Asia themed but I would like to dedicate this post to Israeli_Flava - thank you for your inspiring posts about CSMC - and voila here is mine ....I'm aware that my presentation is not as beautiful as yours ( well, for this I would need such a beautiful hair and skin tone) but still, I am soooooo happy that I bought it !

Thank you, Maedi! I was so excited that my store had this colorway! It was the one and only they received in the green. They have a beautiful neutral one, but it wasn't the right colorway for me. I needed to be blonde, tan , and blue-eyed (all of which I am not.)

One thing is true, although my expressions are the same, they are heart felt and genuine. I mean what I say. (I commented earlier on your amazing Camails, so I have to say that you are STUNNING as well! )

I am truly intrigued by your photo. Your sweater could not be a better match for this scarf. Just curious, did you have the sweater first and then the scarf, or the other way around? Don't you just love it when you buy a scarf and then come home to find a perfect backdrop?

Actually I had the sweater first and have had it for a while. It's actually from..... "Tar-gét"... That's right, the Red Dot Boutique. Lol. And it needed a purple scarf to go with... Something to spruce it up. And i came upon purple Camails . Almost bought the purple les Cannes, but didn't want a THIRD cw of les Cannes even though it ties so beautifully. .

I love the way the Camails colors and pattern goes so wonderfully geometrically (no other way to say it) with your pullover. It's like they were made for each other.

Thank you, eagle! I will do my best to find some goodies this season. H silks and H other things.(I got a few in mind ) You are too kind about my color choices. I am always impressed at the way Hermes can put greens, red and orange together in a silk masterpiece. (This is a clue of one on my wish list that I bought a few hours ago. With matching bracelet and earrings. Yes, I have already spent my birthday money. My birthday is in April.) Tis too rainy to be sporting a scarf today, so when the sun comes out to play, I shall present my 2013 S/S 90cm silk to you and our other precious scarfies.
