Dear Maedi, FrouFrou, Ladybaga, TangoTosca, etoile de mer, seton, Eagle1002us and Sophie,

Thank you for your kind words, hugs, prayers, thoughts, book recommendation, and empathy. It's so good to know one has friends, and a place to come (even if one is not wearing the appropriate scarf). ;) Here's one from the archives, and one of my all-time favorite pics...L'Art du Temari, using a child-sized bracelet (secured with a hidden necklace) as a giant scarf ring.

So sorry to hear about all you've been going through...sending you good thoughts.

Sorry this is off theme, non Asian scarf. But does it count if I'm Asian.. ;). Lol. Here's Camails in the iris cw. I just love how the purple colors look IRL. So saturated. Sorry, iPhone pics don't do it justice. :(

jp, You are adorable! Your sweater is the perfect backdrop for your beautiful purple and blue Camails. I give you an A+ on perfect pattern mixing. You are so pretty!

LB!! You look stunning!!! :)

Edit: lol ;) I wrote this earlier and then i just read you were saying hermesick was "stunning" as well. :). Guess that goes along with "takes one to know one"... :). That makes both of you stunning! :)

Thank you, jp! I am laughing as well because I use about the same five descriptive words to respond to the lovely posts I see here. Clearly, I am not a writer! One thing is true, although my expressions are the same, they are heart felt and genuine. I mean what I say. :D (I commented earlier on your amazing Camails, so I have to say that you are STUNNING as well! :D)

I am truly intrigued by your photo. Your sweater could not be a better match for this scarf. Just curious, did you have the sweater first and then the scarf, or the other way around? Don't you just love it when you buy a scarf and then come home to find a perfect backdrop?

I hate to admit I have a bit too many Asian themed silks. So here's my pile and maybe we should play the name that scarf quiz while we're at it. I bet you will all know their names by now...! And one that came home with me of the new collection too. I think Pierina and Ladyb have both influenced me towards the cool tones lately. No idea why that is. Suffice to say I do adore the blues these past few seasons, of course combined with those pops of red, yellow and oranges. Bateaux by Honore. I think I may have more of her shawls than any other artist. This one reminds me of the tropics and is my first nautical themed GM. My early VDay gift. More comments later silk friends!

HI Lanit, This Bateaux is really striking! That border really makes it. The blue juxtaposed against the grey/white border makes it very modern. It's just great. p.s. your lipstick color is the perfect foil; nice pink:D

Soooo... if this is your Valentine's Day gift..what's your Chinese New Year gift??:graucho:a:sneaky:nd then Mardi Gras too?! heh heh (buying vicariously through you all!)

Great job, essie and sophie! clapping and whoot whoots to you two! I have been on a ban for a while, but there are indeed some spring goodies I am eyeing for CNY essie, and I share a March birthday with our dear Maedi. I hope Maedi does reveal her new shawl with us, theme or no.

bj - the color is delightfully called Klein blue - named after Yves Klein the artist/painter I am sure. Although I really think bleu electric is more fitting for the description of Klein, but we shall not be picky.

P.S. Number 12 is Beloved India...:) brownie (or in this case pinkie) points for you dearest.

I technically am not "wearing this shawl today" but couldn't help but share my excitement! I am trying very very hard to stick to only 1 cw of any design (except my forever UHG Marwari) so it took me foreverrrrr to choose a cw in the CSMC design. I love the design but the cws are all very nice. So after I loaded up on shawls for the season, the cw to select for my last shawl in a long long time as I go on a shawl hiatus...CSMC... became quite obvious... as I have nothing in my collection in this color.... I also wanted a shawl to go with my Mais gator CDC... so like DUH....Cobalt!

Please forgive me that I am not Asia themed but I would like to dedicate this post to Israeli_Flava - thank you for your inspiring posts about CSMC - and voila here is mine ....I'm aware that my presentation is not as beautiful as yours ( well, for this I would need such a beautiful hair and skin tone) but still, I am soooooo happy that I bought it !

Thank you for all your kind comments Ladybaga , Etoile and Seton ! Seton - your collection is beautiful and I agree with Ladybaga- your skintone is perfect !
