Sorry this is off theme, non Asian scarf. But does it count if I'm Asian.. ;). Lol. Here's Camails in the iris cw. I just love how the purple colors look IRL. So saturated. Sorry, iPhone pics don't do it justice. :(

I love the way the Camails colors and pattern goes so wonderfully geometrically (no other way to say it) with your pullover. It's like they were made for each other.

maedi, your Pique Fleuri sounds lovely! Can't wait to see your modeling pic.
I would like to keep it at two scarf purchases this season. I really love what I have collected so far and want to enjoy wearing what I have before I get all crazy again with purchases. I have a spring birthday in April, so I may look in to adding to my printed enamels....:smile1: I would love to see what the Aloha Dip Dye looks like, too. Oh, here I go again........

There are hoarders (mainly non-H stuff) and there are collectors (H stuff).

I hope you go crazy this season in a fun way b/c I always like to see what you have posted.

Regarding the mini-discussion about all the cws that look good on you. The bottom line is that you should light a candle of homage to your ancestors. They obviously all had genes for color sensitivity and appreciation and a complexion that can wear all sorts of colors well. (I doubt if they ever associated with mud people who undoubtedly had a tribe of their own!).

Dear Maedi, FrouFrou, Ladybaga, TangoTosca, etoile de mer, seton, Eagle1002us and Sophie,

Thank you for your kind words, hugs, prayers, thoughts, book recommendation, and empathy. It's so good to know one has friends, and a place to come (even if one is not wearing the appropriate scarf). ;) Here's one from the archives, and one of my all-time favorite pics...L'Art du Temari, using a child-sized bracelet (secured with a hidden necklace) as a giant scarf ring.

So beautiful! If I had seen this cw worn the way you have it, I'd be owning some Temaris right now.

Thank you, eagle! I will do my best to find some goodies this season. H silks and H other things.(I got a few in mind :graucho:) You are too kind about my color choices. I am always impressed at the way Hermes can put greens, red and orange together in a silk masterpiece. (This is a clue of one on my wish list that I bought a few hours ago. With matching bracelet and earrings. Yes, I have already spent my birthday money. My birthday is in April.) Tis too rainy to be sporting a scarf today, so when the sun comes out to play, I shall present my 2013 S/S 90cm silk to you and our other precious scarfies.

lanit, dear lanit, this blue in your Bateaux GM was made for you! It is pure heaven! Welcome to the cool blue side! I agree that this year H has really turned out some gorgeous blues. Bravo on choosing a winner!!!

Love the scarf game, too! I do see some that I recognize, however, my spelling is not always the best.:p

what a delight to see such 2 beautiful blue GMs.

I love this color on you, lanit. I tried on more cws of this today and almost took the black home w/ me but I need to hold off until I know for certain what are the GMs for Fall 2013. I am alloting myself only 1 or 2 GMs max a yr these days.

I technically am not "wearing this shawl today" but couldn't help but share my excitement! I am trying very very hard to stick to only 1 cw of any design (except my forever UHG Marwari) so it took me foreverrrrr to choose a cw in the CSMC design. I love the design but the cws are all very nice. So after I loaded up on shawls for the season, the cw to select for my last shawl in a long long time as I go on a shawl hiatus...CSMC... became quite obvious... as I have nothing in my collection in this color.... I also wanted a shawl to go with my Mais gator CDC... so like DUH....Cobalt!

Thank you for all your kind comments Ladybaga , Etoile and Seton ! Seton - your collection is beautiful and I agree with Ladybaga- your skintone is perfect !

TY, Hsick. We are twins on the cobalt CSMC but now I will have to sell mine since I can never look as good in it as you do. :smile1:

seton, you have the most beautiful skin tone. These neutrals with touches of color suit you beautifully! I love how you have featured some scarves that we do not get to see much of around here. Is the first one you posted called "Groenland"? (Sorry, my spelling may not be correct or the name of the scarf for that matter.) If so, this is such a striking design with the shadows cast and the icy landscape. My boutique never received the reissue of this one when it came out maybe last year? (A bit foggy on the date.) Anyway, whatever it is, you certainly look amazing in it!

EDIT: Silly me, I can now see the that the first scarf is not Groenland. duh. Sorry for the mix-up. I do stand by my comment that it looks marvelous on you, dear seton! ("Meh" to you, but marvelous to us!!)

Baga - you always make me smile, TY. :D You analyzed exactly what I prefer: neutral with touch of colour. I am very partial to pink and blue touches which is why I like the Reveries most of all. I admit that I did feel a pang when u first mentioned my skin since I would get complimented on my skin all the time but I feel the stress of the past yr has ravaged it but I'll try to look at the bright side that it still looks okay. :smile1:

As for Groanland (pun intended, haha, me no likey. I gave mine to me mum since it no ties good), yes they reissued it in 2011. They reissue it every 10 yrs like clockwork. It is readily avail in the second hand market since it's been reissued so many times if u have access.

etoile, Maedi - thank you for your kind words:smile1:

Please forgive me that I am not Asia themed but I would like to dedicate this post to Israeli_Flava - thank you for your inspiring posts about CSMC - and voila here is mine ....I'm aware that my presentation is not as beautiful as yours ( well, for this I would need such a beautiful hair and skin tone) but still, I am soooooo happy that I bought it !

Thank you for all your kind comments Ladybaga , Etoile and Seton ! Seton - your collection is beautiful and I agree with Ladybaga- your skintone is perfect !

Awwww :blushing: That was soooooo sweet of you dear!!! You look absolutely stunning in this blue!!!!! I just can't get enough of it! I must have been channeling you this morning because I changed my outfit 2 times and ended up wearing this GM to work today!!!!
I'm so glad you decided to go for this cw!!!!!

Oh wow! That's so cool how you tied it. The pattern is incredible that way!!!!

Today I went to the boutique with the intention of getting the green Mexique cw. Unfortunately it was all sold out. I saw the noir/gris/rouge cw of Africa & decided I should get it. Stunning. The capucine cw was TDF as well. Now I have both. I managed to take a picture of the noir/gris/rouge cw. Never thought it could tie so well!

BTW, does anyone have the Mexique scarf. Is there any way u could tie it so u can show the statue? TIA

Stunning!

My Asian-themed GMs.... (archive pix)
I had no idea I was so inspired by Asia.....

I know that a number of ladies and gents love Groenland but for some reason, it is not something that I would buy because I have no connection to it. I appreciate how scarves "speak" to people and am glad that others may find my taste a bit rowdy and garish because it means that we all don't compete for the same scarf/color designs. :D It is really pretty in various colorways, but I can't relate to the geography of it. It just doesn't speak to me, I guess. I do have a special place in my heart for whales. Maybe it is my love for Nantucket and Moby Dick! (I collect, of all things, cute sperm whale items. Go figure!) So happy to make you smile. I believe that since I was blessed with dimples, I gotta smile! It's my job.

Metoo dear. Why do you think I break the names down to one word or acronyms? LOL:p

Thank you so much seton! I know I went a little blue crazy this past year, but so far they all work very differently with my wardrobe. Certainly depending upon my moods too. I am a real lover of sea life and water (being a Pisces). I think you are wise to take your time to decide. I thought I should wait too, but then I really wanted to wear this one right away. I would love to have seen the black you tried on. What were the edges like? Plum has a beautiful green/burgundy one too, and I thought that was very unique. I wish we could know what the fall collection designs will be because I would rather buy just one cashmere GM too, and the rest the 140 silks.:graucho:

Lanit - your collection is amazing ! And your Bateaux is divine !

Thank you dear. I fear the 90 silks have been neglected so I need to make an effort to give them some 'neck' time :) And you rock the cobalt CMSC!

IF - no wonder you love the asian themed silks - they love you right back! You have landed some extraordinary grails too :woohoo:

seton - your asian themed collection is beyond compare. You must have been collecting for quite a while and it is a joy to see the lovely designs of H classics. I see you have Galop Volant and I looked for quite a while for it in the blue (yes no surprise there) and then after two years I realized it might not tie well in the corners with the goddesses. I sure love the way you modeled it and now I regret not buying it on the Bay when I could! Love your colorway too.
