Now you really have me blushing. (iPhone app doesn't give me the emoticon options. Otherwise I'd insert the "blushing" smiley.). Me, pretty and stunning?? Wow.. And "perfect pattern mixing.." Thank you for the compliments!!! :) :).

Actually I had the sweater first and have had it for a while. It's actually from..... "Tar-gét"... That's right, the Red Dot Boutique. Lol. And it needed a purple scarf to go with... Something to spruce it up. And i came upon purple Camails :) :). Almost bought the purple les Cannes, but didn't want a THIRD cw of les Cannes even though it ties so beautifully. :).

I love the Red Dot Boutique! ;)
(This is a great miracle sweater story! No better way to spruce up Target finds than with Hermes! LOVE IT!!!!)

Lanit, the blue Bateaux is an excellent choice. Many congratulations. What a refreshing deviation. I can already see it with your jean jacket or some of your striped tops. The border is luscious. [/QUOTE]

Thank you Maedi - and I hope we get to see that lovely new PF GM of yours soon!:graucho:

Flots 70 cm today~Love the colors of this and how when it is tied it appears geometric. I think it is supposed to be ribbons you get when you win a horse show~but in any event the contrasts are wonderful....

TT, I am happy to be twins with you on this 70. I own two cws and they are the ONLY 70s I own. I felt a retro vibe and adore them. You look sensational--beautiful skin my dear. I look like a wind-burned coyote right now and am laughing to think of the hypothetical contrast shot of me right now in my 70, and YOU! lol

Sorry this is off theme, non Asian scarf. But does it count if I'm Asian.. ;). Lol. Here's Camails in the iris cw. I just love how the purple colors look IRL. So saturated. Sorry, iPhone pics don't do it justice. :(

oh jp, I see Asian all over this. Call it whatever you want! Gorgeous, deep colors. Love it with your sweater--so fun and young.

Couldn't agree more on limiting myself. Let's cheer each other on in that direction:smile1: I have a spring birthday in March;)

Limit Shim-it Silly Gooose....but I too am up for the challenge!

Today I went to the boutique with the intention of getting the green Mexique cw. Unfortunately it was all sold out. I saw the noir/gris/rouge cw of Africa & decided I should get it. Stunning. The capucine cw was TDF as well. Now I have both. I managed to take a picture of the noir/gris/rouge cw. Never thought it could tie so well!

BTW, does anyone have the Mexique scarf. Is there any way u could tie it so u can show the statue? TIA

What a great look! So nice.

Thank you, jp! I am laughing as well because I use about the same five descriptive words to respond to the lovely posts I see here. Clearly, I am not a writer! One thing is true, although my expressions are the same, they are heart felt and genuine. I mean what I say. :D (I commented earlier on your amazing Camails, so I have to say that you are STUNNING as well! :D)

Lady, I too find myself using the same dang 4 words but just because I say it to X and Y and Z does not mean it is any less fabulous, right? Anyone thinking of Gertrude Stein's work and repetition with words?? Come one, is someone hip to my jive here???

jp, some of the girls around here relish the idea of wearing an H silk or GM on a $20.00 Tar-get find. Love it. You are amonst friends our friend...

Ladies, I went shopping last week and get this, drum roll--Textile, are you out there my Escandar wearingfriend....I spent FULL PRICE on a white blouce that cost MORE than an Hermes silk! I know, I know....Crazy. So funny. I laughed thinking, I will pay $410.00 for a scarf that I "might" not need, but won't pay $600.00 for a shirt that will be a staple for ten years??

froufrou: I always come away from your commentary knowing a bit more about silk. I love your eye...keep teaching me honey!!

Hermesick: your new avatar is fabulous. I love the texture and color contrast of milky complexion, blond hair, rouge top...nice nice

Seton: your skin and smile are beautiful and welcoming....If you are like I am, I look too closely in the mirror....who gets that close for goodness sake?

awww...thank you Sparklelisab !

We are on same page LOL :) when it comes to scarf purchase, I have never the slightest regrets BUT when I buy something else I start to calculate.
Maedi, Ladybaga, Seton, IF and Lanit - thank you for your kind words !

IF - your two Marwari GM's are TDF !

Gotta give the credit for Red Dot Boutique to our dear, jp. I am calling Target that now as well! Sweetest Sparkle, I am sorry you are fluin'. Please stay in bed, rest, and eat some jello. Hope you feel better, soon!:smile1:

Sparkle, I love your $600 blouse story! I just got home from running errands and picked up a few pairs of shoes. I explained to my husband that I noticed the price of shoes seems to be going down. He said, "No, I think it is just that you are used to buying Hermes scarves and such." :D

Get well soon! Drink more flu medicine . Come back here we're missing you :okay:

Thanks for posting all the Asian scarves, seton. Wasn't it kind of fun once you got going? And a testament to your consistent selection that all of them worked with only 2 sweaters. The Sichuan cashmere is especially lovely in soft colors. Many of the older color palettes seem more harmonious, more natural. Guess it was a phase that has come and gone?

Thank you for posting this, Hermesick, your pink and orange Temari is glorious on you! And congratulations on the new blue CSMC. Such lovely colors, both of them.

Love your purple Camails, jp_56. H.com sent me the cashmere GM in that colorway by mistake and it was gorgeous. If I'd had the coloring to pull it off I would have kept it. Do you think that you could post some of your Les Cannes when you have time? It's always a treat to see scarves that tie really well.

Good choice, D Lee, Afrique looks super with the scarf ring and will be very useful in that colorway too.

More hugs for you VnSoie! :hugs: This stunning Temari is just the thing to cheer you up. Such a perfectly beautiful way to wear it too - no wonder at it's a favorite picture. :smile1:

Oh lanit, what an amazing pile of delightful silk! I'm going to go back to your picture and just stare at it for a while. :D

Terrific collection, Israeli_Flava, and you wear them so well. The shawls really show off your striking good looks.

I love the contrasts in your scarf, D Lee! Very sharp and crisp against your blue sweater. You have been acquiring some lovely silks lately! Thanks for letting us share in your joy! You look great!!! Capucine is such a fantastic orange shade. Can't wait to see you model that one as well!

Thx LB! I am now in the earliest stages of scarf collection. So I guess I am still acquiring scarves like crazy! Besides, I believe my acquisitions like Equateur & Tropiques are really classic pieces! I believe my behavior would normalize once I have passed the initial few seasons! Aren't we collectors all like that?:p

BTW, I saw Fleurs de Indienneires in the boutique. It is gorgeous! I know u have one as well. It is very expensive(to me). Do u think I should get it? As a newbie, I have no idea how often H brings out reissues. I mean, if I miss the boat this time, will I have to wait forever for it to surface again? TIA!

Hi D!
You are collecting BEAUTIFUL scarves that you will cherish for years to come! It really is fun seeing which new beauties the seasons bring! I love everything you have posted! You are off to an amazing start.

Is the Fleurs de Indiennes a 140cm silk or the 90cm? I bought my 90cm version two years ago, so if you do find a 90cm of this in your boutique, you should try it on. It's an incredible pattern. A bit busy, but I like busy! ;) The colorway of mine is variations of green/turquoise with ultra violet background. It is one of my very favorites. I wish I had picked up the khaki version as well. (MaiTai has this one on her blog. Gorgeous.) I also missed out on the 140cm which came out a full year ago. A/W 2011, I think. Several of our lovely tpf members have this. Off of the top of my head, I know that textilegilr and lanit have the 140. I remember that there was a beautiful red/yellow one and also a blue/green one. It is a tad bit heavier in weight than the summer silk twill. I believe this 140 is called washed silk.

If you have found a FdI, I would say YES. You won't regret it. :D Since this pattern was a new design, it may not be reissued for some time. It would be great if it was since it really was a good selling design. I wonder if it will ever be issued as a GM cashmere/silk shawl or heaven help me, a 140 mousseline. I would be jumping for joy over that!
