Dear Ladyb, thanks so much, and hoping to be able to come out and play again, soon! ;) So very sorry to hear about your mother. I imagine you bringing infinite cheer to her, and boundless support to your father. Such a sad and cruel disease, and my heart goes out to all affected by it.

Thank you, etoile! I am blessed by the support that I receive and by you all for "taking me to the cyber land of beautiful silks." :hugs:

Dear all,

Not to be dramatic, but you've been kind to ask and express concern, so I thought I would share what's been going on. Just before Christmas, I discovered that my mother has been the victim of a financial scam. She had been quite secretive and defensive towards me for some months, and now her doctor has diagnosed mild dementia. I've known something was wrong for over a year but could get no diagnosis or action until now. It's quite a mess, and frustrating--and a few other emotions that I will not name in this genteel forum :) . Then, in January, my biological grandmother died. Though I'd only known her for about 15 years (I was adopted as an infant), she and I had become close. She lived a good, long life. I will miss her, but I am very grateful I had the chance to know her.

Anyway, I thank you for your friendship and support (you know who you are). It's been comforting to know you are here and that I could pop in for a few minutes of relief from time to time. I'm sorry I haven't been able to contribute. Thank you, thank you for being here.

xo

Dear VnSoie,
Just popping by to give you a virtual hug. I'm glad we can offer some distraction in the tough times you're going through.

Seton, thank you for posting these treasures. You have such a beautiful and genuine collection and in my opinion they look fab on you.

Hermesick, your ArtduTemari is gorgeous. This design in another color made me fall in love with GMs when I realized how different sizes do different things to H designs.

Ladybaga, stunning! The jacket works super well with the scarf and FdI is one of my very favorite designs.

Thank you, Maedi! What do you think of this season's scarf line up? I haven't been to my H in a few weeks, so I don't know if anything has surfaced. The new Annie Faivre intrigues me as does Photo Finish and maybe the purple and white Afrique. How about you?:smile1:

I like the new Annie Faivre but have yet to see a color that feels me. Photo Finish is also very, very cool (anything with horses) but I need to see it in real life. I am curious about the dip dye and I bought Piqué Fleuri in color 19. The latter creates the kinds of happy feelings sometimes described here by sparkle and others. The colors are so happy, unexpected and beautiful. I also love the Provence region, flowers and birds... If money weren't an issue I would look into Equateur as well:smile1: Everything is so late trickling in this year.

maedi, your Pique Fleuri sounds lovely! Can't wait to see your modeling pic.
I would like to keep it at two scarf purchases this season. I really love what I have collected so far and want to enjoy wearing what I have before I get all crazy again with purchases. I have a spring birthday in April, so I may look in to adding to my printed enamels....:smile1: I would love to see what the Aloha Dip Dye looks like, too. Oh, here I go again........

Here is an off theme scarf that I wore last week (Fleurs d' Indiennes )when we had sunshine. It is still rainy today, so I will be wearing a necklace instead of a scarf when I head out to work. I admire textilegirl in her recent GM shawl (green) with banners. So, this one's for her. (What do you think of my matchy-matchy green jacket, textilegirl?):winkiss:

LB!! You look stunning!!! :)

Edit: lol ;) I wrote this earlier and then i just read you were saying hermesick was "stunning" as well. :). Guess that goes along with "takes one to know one"... :). That makes both of you stunning! :)

Sorry this is off theme, non Asian scarf. But does it count if I'm Asian.. ;). Lol. Here's Camails in the iris cw. I just love how the purple colors look IRL. So saturated. Sorry, iPhone pics don't do it justice. :(

Couldn't agree more on limiting myself. Let's cheer each other on in that direction:smile1: I have a spring birthday in March;)

Dear Maedi, FrouFrou, Ladybaga, TangoTosca, etoile de mer, seton, Eagle1002us and Sophie,

Thank you for your kind words, hugs, prayers, thoughts, book recommendation, and empathy. It's so good to know one has friends, and a place to come (even if one is not wearing the appropriate scarf). ;) Here's one from the archives, and one of my all-time favorite pics...L'Art du Temari, using a child-sized bracelet (secured with a hidden necklace) as a giant scarf ring.

What a great way of wearing this beauty! I love this scarf and your color is scrumptious.

Today I went to the boutique with the intention of getting the green Mexique cw. Unfortunately it was all sold out. I saw the noir/gris/rouge cw of Africa & decided I should get it. Stunning. The capucine cw was TDF as well. Now I have both. I managed to take a picture of the noir/gris/rouge cw. Never thought it could tie so well!

BTW, does anyone have the Mexique scarf. Is there any way u could tie it so u can show the statue? TIA

I love the contrasts in your scarf, D Lee! Very sharp and crisp against your blue sweater. You have been acquiring some lovely silks lately! Thanks for letting us share in your joy! You look great!!! Capucine is such a fantastic orange shade. Can't wait to see you model that one as well!

VnSoie, This is DREAMY! I love how the scarf gathers together in such a beautiful ruffle! Great idea for using a child's bracelet to hold the folds in place! I hemmed and hawed on this design because I couldn't decide on a colorway. Sure wish I had seen this one! You look amazing! :smile1:
