RoseUSA, regarding knots for various levels of silk drape, perhaps a quick visit over to MaiTai's website might help? She has loads of photos and ideas, for how to wear the various sizes and weights of scarves.

TangoTosca, Euridice, hair-mess, Bienchen,
RoseUSA, I've struggled with one of my older scarves, a jacquard Daimyo that is so soft, it is practically limp. Until I came up with a Markova variation on a cowboy knot: instead of tying the loose corners behind or hiding them under the triangle of your scarf in front, make Markova knots on these corners and throw them in front to lay/hang off each of your shoulders. The whole construction magically stays in place, and it gives structure to a soft scarf.
Euridice - Thank you so much; you're so sweet! Also admire your springlike colour combo and awesome weave! Plus I must admit, I'm quite envious of your light and happy coloured Charmante aux Animaux GM; these colours are just perfect for colder days in the sunny season.![]()
I would like to share with you my own little "Sacre du Printemps"...
(been listing to it lately...)
vintage "Mare aux Cannards" celebrating the arrival of Spring!
:giggles:
Here is my contribution to this week's theme. "Annie Faivre's design". Thank you TangoTosca for organising these fun themes!! *hugs*
Tresors Retrouves - I can't seem to find any monkeys like Au Fil du Carre. Except for these. Also here's my attempt to "display" this scarf today. The beautiful part of this scarf is among the details in the emerald and grey colours.

LOL! I was looking down into my scarf seeing if I could find the monkey that sparklelisab posted, and it occured to me that would make a silly picture---the monkey-hunting pose!!![]()
sparklelisab said:Vinia honey, I think these are horned animals, elk? The monkey is right in the middle of your scarf. Have another look. It took me ten minutes to find my purple monkey last night. Yours will probably be green. Love the cw of your Tresors!
Silkies, I swore I posted this last night, but the post disappeared?? Strange. I would love to hear your opinons about my first shawl. I am wondering if my first one should be more spectacular, less "classic" looking even though I am kinda a classic girl. I don't need the warmth of a shawl and will wear it scarf like, not as a cape or covering, so should I take her back and exchange for silk? A giant silk? Any thoughts?
Dear sparklelisab thanks for modelling this shawl. Hmm, I see what you mean. It's not awesome. I think classic can be awesome as well. Is it possible to bring it to the store and compare with a 140cm silk or stole?
My experience so far with shawls (I have an Espirit Ainou shawl) is that they look better as a shawl or "cowboy style". I.e. opened. If you like cashmere scarves you can try the stoles, like Brazil, where the design looks very good as a scarf. Recently I added a 140cm silk to my collection and it looks good as a scarf as well.
